How to deal with overwieght, sabotaging spouse?

I have been married 8 years to a man who is very overweight (100lbs) and refuses to take any meaningful steps to weight loss. He believes that someone else should do everything for him. i.e., he needs a pill or bypass surgery, so he won't even try dieting or going for a simple walk.

Because I've let myself get sucked into his sedentary, junk food-filled lifesyle, I've gained about 25 lbs. since we married, and I was 10-15 lbs. overweight then.

I hate the way I look and feel now, and really need to drop the weight and get healthy. I've made some great changes, and am down 10 lbs. in the first month. I'm feeling good and am proud of myself. BUT - hubby is a terrible influence. If we go out for dinner, I make the healthiest choices and he orders some nasty, fatty, grease laden garbage to wolf down in front of me. At home, he won't even go for a walk with me, and instead just sits in front of the TV/computer.

Also, it's kind of unfair, but the harder I work, the more I'm just disgusted by his lifestyle and body, which is bad for our relationship on many levels.

Anyone else encountering this? How have you dealt with it? Is there any way I can help him start losing without being pushy? He is type 2 diabetic and really needs to lose, and I need his support in life.
