What to do about Teams

I belong to and created a team with a very specific demographic. People who do not subscribe to the same ideas are insistent on remaining part of the team (I have NO idea why, except that I think they aspire to be who they are not currently). For examples:

If there was a team for diabetics, and someone was not
If there was a team for Jewish people, and someone was not
If there was a team for women, and men wanted to join
If there was a team for vegetarians, and meat eaters wanted to join

Our team profile is extremely clear. This group was made out of frustration of not being able to find others who were like minded. I have VERY nicely asked people to leave when they have not respected the foundation on which the team was built, but people still become upset and angry. I would create a private group, but then I would have trouble finding like-minded people!!

I left 2 teams in the past because of this reason. I hate it, I am sad and upset. What should I do?
