Eating to maintain
I would love to lose weight, but my husband keeps telling me that he thinks I'm beautiful just like I am. (I guess he likes the Victorian "rounded" look!)
Part of the reason I want to be in *lose* mode is because I'm terrified I'm going to be like my mom, get well into my thirties, and start gaining. But I'm also worried that being in lose mode with no appreciable weight loss is going to be hard on my mental health!
I'm focusing on exercising *every day* for at least half an hour. I'm 5'8 1/2", 150 lbs, BMI about 23. I know those aren't unhealthy stats. So I'd really love to be able to maintain. I've started eating half dinners b/c I have an office job and I'm not moving around during the day, so I don't need a lot to eat at night. I also have a very *small* dessert so that I eat something yummy but don't pig out.
I'd love to hear any suggestions that all of you have about a helpful mindset or healthy strategies for *maintaining* healthy weight (without becoming fixated) as I enter my 30s!
