dieting / obsession / taking things too far?

I can only speak from my own experience when I say that ever since I've been managing my weight consciously, my life has certainly changed in several ways.

The positives are that I've dropped 12 or so lbs, work out on a regular basis (which I enjoy), and make efforts to choose the healthiest foods available to me at any given time. I've maintained my weight loss for about two years and am in my healthy weight range with a 22.4 BMI.

I am learning to get a handle on these things and they are not as much a problem now as they were even six months ago, but here are the negatives... I feel horrible guilt for eating sweets even though I love them, I am very critical of my body wheras before I started watching my weight I was very happy with my appearance, I feel like I spend TOO MUCH of my time thinking/talking about/researching weight loss and weight related articles. I am healthy (5'9" and 152 lbs) but in the back of my mind, I feel like I could and should weigh even less.

I've just recently become very interested in people's different approaches to weight. Obviously we live in a society obsessed with thinness, but I am trying to figure out how to distance myself from these impossible ideals and really love and appreciate the (perfectly good) body that I've worked hard to get.

I know so many people with similar issues. It seems like even the slimmest people are always trying to get smaller.

How do you cope with striking the balance between 'healthy life' and 'obsessive life'?

Where do you even draw that line for yourself?
