ex-athlete trying to tone back up

hi all,

i'm a 23-year old female that played competitive field hockey for 13 years. after college i stopped playing, got an office job, and seemed to really get out of shape. i weight more or less the same as i did in college (~120 lbs) but i'm no where near as slim and fit as i used to be. in fact, i'm quite round and soft in the middle (abs).

for the past few weeks i have been trying to go to the gym 4-6 times a week (doing cario - running, HIIT, etc and lifting weights - squats, biceps, triceps, shoulders, chest ect).

i eat fairly well. eggs, yogurt, or oatmeal for breakfast. veggie salad for lunch. chicken, fish, or sometimes pasta for dinner. and fruits and veggies for snacks. lately however, i've been slipping and have been eating chocolate, pretzels, baked lays, etc. (not good!).

i haven't seen much of a difference in my body so i thought i would ask all of you for some advice!

btw - in march i went on vacation and before that i really restricted on my diet (ate about 800-1000 cals all "clean" and worked out 6-7 days per week). i looked really good and slim (about 114 lbs).. but after i returned from vacation i ate whatever i wanted and quickly got out of shape. since then i'ts been very hard for me to get back to where i was... is this common??

thanks everyone.
i'm sorry this was so long!
