Scared about losing weight

Okay, so I really want to lose this 20 pounds that I've gained over the years from emotional eating and overeating. If it weren't for the fact that I'm active, I'm sure I'd have 30 pounds to lose. Anyway, so I'm really scared about losing weight...I'm scared about the outcome in the end. I'm scared of being attractive...I'm scared of the attention I'll receive (and I already get creepy guys coming up to me)...I'm scared now I won't have an excuse as to why I can't talk to certain people or do certain things...I'm scared of people getting jealous (because I've had insecure "friends" already put me down for various reasons)...I'm scared about fully being able to live my life now that I don't have this "excuse" no longer. I want to lose this weight so bad and I've been finally been able to committ for over 2 months now. But when I think of the future, I'm excited yet scared. I'm still young (early 20s) and I want to be able to buy fitted clothes and wear a bikini for the first time in my life. So basically, how did any of you guys get over your fears or any advice you can give me. Thank you!!
