Binge eating at night- Scary!

I do a great job during the day monitoring my calories, carbs, and fat - but after my evening meal (usually consumed around 6 pm), I still feel ravaged.

An example of what I eat during the day is:
5:30 am breakfast:
1 slice whole wheat toast
1 tbl peanut butter
1 tsp flax seed
1 hard-boled egg (minus yolk)
Coffee with fat-free cream
9:30 am Snack:
3 large strawberries
5 blackberries
1 low-fat string cheese
12:30 pm Lunch:
1 cup low-fat soup or 1 cup of sometype of grain
(like quinoa) with veggies - only 1 cup though.
1/3 cup of non-fat cottage cheese
5 pineapple chunks
3:00 pm Snack
1 apple
15 raw almonds
Coffee with fat-free cream
6:00 pm Dinner
1 serving low-fat protein (chicken or fish, roundsteak)
1 serving steamed veggies
(I try to not eat carbs after 3 pm)
I also try to run at least 3 miles a day before breakfast!

By 7 pm, I feel like I'm dying of starvation! A personal trainer friend of mine said to just get used to it...it's normal. Will this ever go away? When I binge on pm food, I usually want carbs - bowls and bowls of Kashi cereal for example...or bread and peanut butter. What is wrong with me? I know this is not good for my body. I'm suffering from a major lack of self-control! Or is it a psychological thing?
