Help: Muscles getting too big
I'm a 25 yo guy. I'm pretty short (5'5") and I used to be obese. After starting the gym since this January, I've been seeing results.
However, I'm noticing that my muscles are getting pretty big (chest, arms, thighs), and I'm not losing as much body fat as I would like.
For most guys, I think this is fine. But since I'm short, I really don't want to be too bulky. What I want is lean muscles, and lower body fat (better body tone). In fact, I would like to look "thin" rather than "well-built". At this moment, I think my muscles are "big" enough. What I want is to lose the fat, so my muscles will show.
I currently do 4 days of weight + cardio (either 45 mins of powerwalk, or 25 mins of interval running) training a week, +1 day of just normal cardio, with 2 days to rest and recover.
I constantly watch my diet (breakfast, snack, lunch, pre-workout snack, post-workout snack, small dinner) with some indulgence (weekend dine-out).
Can anyone give me some advice?
