Over coming genetics
I recently decided to talk to a doctor to check out my thyroid, as I have been eating extremely healthy for over 6 months and run a lot (training for a 10k in a couple weeks). And through all of this I have only lost about 4-6 pounds. While I am able to keep it off, I still need to lose at least 30 more pounds. The doctor said that my thyroid is fine but I just have low metabolism and in order to see the results I want I have to have a HARD cardio work out for a minimum of 1 hour a day, 7 days a week and limit my calories to around 1200 or less if I want a chance. My schedule just doesn't allow for this!
I'm losing hope of ever getting rid of this fat without cosmetic surgery. Any ideas of ways to jump start some weight loss? I'm sticking with my running because it is something I enjoy and I refuse to have my weight get worse or be the result of laziness. But I'm losing hope.
