boycott binges!

ok, so there is a lot of mention of binge eating...grabbing the unhealthy foods lurking in our cupboards. typically these binges come on at the same time during the day - afternoons at work or evenings at home when watching tv. so, here is a suggestion for all of us (i too do this sometimes and it concerns me) - when that urge comes on, try tracking your thoughts - write down (maybe in your peertrainer journal) 1)what you want and why, also include 2) the advantages to giving in (why is it satisfying/ pleasureable...), 3) the disadvantages of giving in (weight gain/ guilt...), and finally 4) how these thoughts encourage/discourage your resulting behavior (did you give in or not and why). i know it seems like a lot, but even if you don't want to write it all down, THINK about it or call a supportive friend and DISCUSS it.
