mom of 3 needs HELP!! Anyone on here do daycare?
I have 3 of my own kids. I quit working outside the home 3 months ago. My kids are 5, almost 3 and my 3rd is turning 1 this month. I watch a almost 3 year old girl everyday and 2 other kids 3 afternoons a week. I need help finding the time and ENERGY to stay motivated. When everyone leaves I am BEAT.
Things I'm doing wrong.
-still can't find the time to eat my own breakfast.
-binge at night
-this week I have popped open a wine cooler while I'm making dinner to try to help me relax. My dinking goes in spirts.
-can't stay consistent with no sugar in my coffee. I've tried the zero calorie sweetners and always break down and end up with real sugar in my coffee.
-when I do get motivated to eat breakfast or less sugar I can never stick to it.
things I'm doing right -
I am good about taking the kids for walks and walking to the park.
I have reached out to 3 friends who like to walk but the weather has been so crappy we keep canceling.
I'm good at buyng fruit and veggies
I descovered I am addicted to high glucose foods. Even the fruits and cereals I like are on the high levels. I can't control my cravings!!!!!
my full time girl comes at 6:45 every day. I generally nurse my almost 1 year old at 6am and put her back to bed while I shower. I've tried getting up at 5am but can't stick to it because I'm sooo tired and it's hard to get out of bed. My husband gets home around 7ish and I'm always so beat from the day that I can't even imagine going for a run then. I just don't know how to get myself motivated and don't even know what is better for me, evening work out or morning? I know if I exercise more I will EVENTUALLY have more energy but how do I survive in the mean time?
Any advice, tips or words of encouragement?

I use to do daycare.. one was 6 one was 4 and the other 3.. its not easykeeping your energy level up.. I know from experience, but you have great ages to work with..
skipping breakfast is not good. THAT gives you your enegy to start your day.. butmake sure its ahealthy breakfast.. I have kashi with a banana.. or eggwhite omelettes.. its all about choices and making small lifestyle chnages.
get a pedometer.. log those walks.. you will be amazed at your steps.. where it all day 10,000 steps is your target goal..
one of the things I use to do was get a dance dvd.. liek sweat into the oldies or something fun with good music... the kids will want to do what you are doing and you are setting a good example exercise together..they will love it and so will you.. trust me..
do lunges between laundry.. do quats.. some situps.. fit exercise in every chance you get
.. if you have kids.. you need to have healthy foods for them.. so why not have them yourself to..chop your veggies up so they are readily accessible..set a good example for them.. we cant tell them to eat thier veggies if we are not eating ours
use your kids as motivation.. setting a example for them and getting healthier to be there for them. you dont want them to have weight issues.. so eat fruits and veg so they can see thats a good choice in foods.
as far as sugar... if thats your weakness. allow yourself that bit of sugar.. if you eating everything else right that sugar wont kill your day..
alcohol is empty calories.. make a smoothie.. its refeshing and its good for you.. right there you get some fruits and you can thrown spinach or brocoli in and get some veggies in and the fruit masks theveggies
way to go on the walks.. nature walks with kids are amazing
try a cereal with more fiber and protein.. liek kashi go lean..
have some yogurts on hand for snacks
you can always addmore fruit to it. if you dont liek the taste
its all about small chnages.. work on one chnage.. dont overwhelm yourself..
watch your portions.. eat on smaller plates
if you want pizza have a slice but have a huge salad..
anyway just remeber this si for you and for your kids.. what they see you do as far as your eating habbits will be what they will tend to eat ..
good luck.. you can do this.. your here that says alot that you want to change.. keep beliving in yourself and get healthy for your kids and live a long healthy active life with them.
hope this helps a bit..
take care
