WTF???!!!!
I am so frustrated I can't see straight.
I've been at this for more than 6weeks...diligently and still have only lost 5 to 6lbs....
I'm pratically killing myself with the workouts and sticking to my diet (less than 1500 cal. a day) WTF!?
I hover between 257 and 259 UGH!!!! for about 6 weeks now.
I need help bad!!! Anyone know what's going on?

that's a pound a week and something to be VERY proud of... don't look at as the progress you haven't made, look at it for the progress you have made! you are doing great, keep it up and keep a positive attitude. remember this is a lifestyle change not a quick fix. good luck!

I agree with the above poster!. Maybe you can also look at where the calories you asre taking in are coming from? I've lost 50 lbs., and realized when I cut out cola (especially diet) and dairy, I lost weight much easier. I have heard other people say the same about gluten. Not sure what your style is, but you will see more results with 1000kcal from fruits and veggies than from grains and processed stuff. Stick with it! YOU ARE LOSING, and that is FABULOUS!

A lot of us lose in chunks. I'll hover around the same weight for a couple of months and then all of the sudden drop 6-8 lbs in 3 weeks. We all lose differently.

The book Eat To Live by Dr. Fuhrman really helped my sister and I. Especially if you have any other health problems it could be the best book you ever read. I love this site for a support system but I don't think I will ever want a different diet after seeing the fast results.

I have been there ...
I have been at this a long while too and over all, I'm really not down that much either ... it's hard and no matter what gets said about "keeping your chin up" ... "slow and steady wins the race" ... it's HARD to stay on track when you aren't getting any "reward" from the scale.
Have you taken measurements? How do your clothes feel? How is your skin? How do you FEEL? If the scale isn't giving you any love you HAVE to find other "measures" of success to keep you going!
I have to keep reminding myself that what I have lost is in addition to what I would have continued to gain if I had not started to try.
((((Hugs!))))) It WILL happen! You have to just keep doing what you are doing and like someone else pointed out, your body will eventually start to respond. Find ways to celebrate the progress you HAVE made and focus on that !!!

OP here,
Thank you all for your words of encouragement! Poster 3:15 you are absolutely right. I have measured myself and I've lost around 2 inches from my waist...so that is some evidence of me working my ass off.
Any way, I'll keep it up and keep you all posted on my progress. I'll be happy to divulge any secrets when the weight "drops off"...hehe

Think of it this way...
Rome wasn't built in a day....neither was all your weight.
How long did it take to get to the point you are at right now?
You have to make a committment for life to change your eating and exercise. It is not a committment until the lbs come off. IT IS YOUR NEW HEALTHY LIFE.
The longer it takes to come off slowly, the better chance you have for keeping it off forever!!!!! FOREVER GIRL!!!!
I have lost 60 lbs over 2 years, and still working on the last 15lbs. I just have to keep the scale inching in the right direction. How long it takes has got to be OK, or I will get discouraged.
Just keep going and don't give up. Don't ever give up on yourself.
Best wishes.
