Weight Gain and Menopause
Am I the only one?
Mon. May 19, 11:27pm
I don't think you are the only one. I know a few people who have said that they have gained some weight when menopause kicked in. Probably because your body is going through its changes and your metabolism might be slowing down just a bit more.
The good thing is you are aware of it and can take action against gaining anymore. :+) Some people don't put 2 and 2 together.

You are not alone. I've been working here on PT for months to get off the 12 pounds I gained over the last few years in peri-menopause. Also, my weight gain has shifted from hips and thighs to waist. Blah Good news is, if you can get the weight off, you look younger.

I am working very hard to keep off what I am told is the inevitable weight gain with menopause. My strategy is low carb and weight training. Also lots of cardio but all of it gets mixed up...different workouts, some cardio machines, some swimming, some hiking. Don't get into a rut!

I read that yoga is really good for keeping off menopause weight gain.

This weight is driving me insane. It has made me more aware how strong my body is, it will actually works against me. The healthier I get, the more weight I gain. Has this happened to anyone else?
