Diet Aids?
Does anyone here have any experience with weight loss aids/pills?I have taken diet pills in the past in order to help me with weight loss. A few have been effective but I had a scary experience with zantrex so I stopped them for a while. I take a green tea supplement which may or may not help, but its good for my health anyways. Anyone have any experiences, success?

I pop a vegetable or fruit before every meal.

Years ago I took dexatrim and that made me all jittery. I didn't lose any weight on it. Don't know if they even sell that anymore, it was so long ago.
Pills don't work for me and as silly as it may seem, I've started posting notes around my home. Affirmations. The one I added today was "I always persevere."
I hope you choose not to take any pills. None have been proven to help long term weight loss. Good luck.

a big salad for lunch or dinner does the trick for me. The idea is that it fills you up and gives your body the nutrients it needs.

I think she is talking more about diet pills. Anyone on Alli?

Diet Pills
10 years ago I took Phentermine. It worked great for me. I would like to get some and do it again. I have high blood pressure so was monitored, my blood pressure actually went down and stabilized. I am pretty sure it was from working out 1 and a half hours a day for 5 days a week. But it was great!

Is phentermine a prescription? Any side effects?

To PP re: phentermine side effects.
The big one is primary pulmonary hypertension. Google that and see why it's better to change your attitude about food and eating than to pop a pill.
Other side effects are jitters, shakes, rapid and/or irregular heart beat, gastrointestinal disturbances... Need I say more?

HH
I have tried a lot of stuff, including Alli, ephedrine, etc...
I think the best OC stuff out there right now is Hydroxycut Hardcore. Diet pills will only give you like a -10% boost in my opinion, but hey, HH seemed to do a little something. Kinda pricey though. The've got it at GNC I think.
- still though, the best diet pill is just friggin' eating less and gettting your butt on the treadmill, I'm sorry to say.

Very agreed about exercise and diet being the best. I took zantrex and it worked miracle, perhaps too well? I lost my appetite COMPLETELY. I lost 5 pounds in 4 days. It worked so well that I sometimes am tempted to use it again but it made me feel terrible. Not worth it...
