Why can't NEW GROUP MEMBERS last longer than a week?

You know this site inspires me, and at the same times makes me so hopping mad, I want to scream. I know this subject has been beat to death, but I believe it is because it is so true, and it torques people off so badly. I am in two groups, one of which I joined, and one I created. The first one I joined has seen so many new members, that I can't keep up with their names. The one I created has had less, but it's just as bad because the one person who is a faithful daily logger hardly ever has two cents to share. Don't ask me how I have managed to lose weight on a weekly basis for the last couple of months because it sure hasn't been because of the support. What is up people? Why do most start out as such enthusiasts and fizzle so quickly?
