why does it seem???

why does it seem like the scale doesnt go up or down all week ,but at the end of the week bamm youve all of a sudden lost 1-3 lbs
i weigh my self everyday so i can keep things in check. now i dont expect the scale to change everyday i know better than that. but dont you think that if at the end of the week youve lost 2 lbs then when i weighed my self halfway through the week it would have gone down at least a 1/2 lb
it kind of reminds of the gas tank phenomenom. lol
where the tank seems to stay on full forever and then overnight its on empty. lol

It could be water weight- even if you weigh yourself at the same time everyday, maybe you ate something with a little more sodium the day before and it caused a little water retention. Also- not to be gross, but if you didn't move your bowels since the last weigh in that could be keeping the scale at the same number.

I n my opinion scale watching is overrated. I do periodically check the scale, but I go by my body feel in my existing wardrobe. If I feel that after a few weeks my pant seem slimmer & my shirts seem roomier than I know I am doing good. If not I know I need to change something.

there have been several threads like this - up 5 pounds - down 5 pounds - who knows & who cares - there is just a natural weight fluctiuation - I could gain or lose 10 pounds in a week easy, but it wouldn't really mean ANYTHING !
Don't worry about it - long term is what counts - it is like a graph - just look for the downward trend over weeks and months.
