Gym Etiquette

These days, many people are going to the gym for the first time, or the first time in a long time, and are not familiar with some gym etiquette. I thought I'd start a thread of some tips and others can add to it

1. If there's a row of unused equipment, such as treadmills, except for 1 person, please do not run or bike right next to the one person. Spread out a little bit. Same for cycling classes, etc. If there's room to do so, don't crowd others.

2. Don't spread your stuff across the entire bench in the locker room. Make room for others to use the bench too.

3. Please refrain from talking on your cell phone while using equipment.

4. Wipe down equipment after use

As for some stupid pet peeves....
Unless you have some legitimate reason, don't circle round and round for the closest parking spot at the gym. Park and walk. Consider it a jumpstart to your workout. And don't take the elevator to the second floor of the gym. You are going to the gym to workout, take the actual stairs before jumping onto the Stairmaster.

Thank you.

I hope some got a giggle out of these. I observe these acts (or lack thereof) frequently at my gym.
