Jogging Etiquette

I want to ask you all for some advice about something that has happened to me for years.

I walk/jog in a local park, and have done so on and off for the past 10 years. For about the last 5 years or so a group of joggers (2 or 3 depending on the day) will jog around the path next to each other and take up the entire pathway. If they are jogging towards me they NEVER file in behind each other to leave space for me. They always run at me without slowing down until move aside for them. One time, when I tried to move aside I slipped and fell over and they carried on jogging without stopping and laughed at me.

I'm not the kind of person to get pushed around, but these snobby women are getting on my nerves. I try going to the park at different times, and I only see them now about once per month because I've become pretty good at avoiding them. Still, I kind of dread going just in case they are there. It's like adult bullying or something, and I feel like I'm in grade school having to even talk about this.

Do any of you have any advice on what I can do about this? The park (which is more of a nature preserve with a 2 mile track around it) is maintained by the city and has an office. I've thought about contacting the office folks, but I don't know what they can do. And I'd feel pretty stupid to go complaining about people, especially when I don't know their names.

Any advice would be welcome.
