workout change-ups advice
basically my daily workout routine is the same. i have a gym at my apartment community with a circuit training station, 2 treads and an elliptical trainer. it is also equipped with free weights galore.
everyday i do 20-25 mins of vigorous elliptical training or treadmill (elevated incline/resistance to maximize time)
and everyday i do strength training/circuit training via the station. i alternate upper and lower body everyday. i do this routine 6x/week, resting on sunday.
i don't have the re$ources to go to classes or join a fully stacked GYM at this point in my life, so those recommendations i cannot follow, unfortunately.
this routine gets bland, as you can imagine...and i'm also wondering if it is going to be beneficial if i do the exact same workout day in/out. i feel frustrated, but i don't want to be, because that is a demotivator. am i doing ANYTHING right?
when i do my circuit training, i do up the ante by changing the weight as it gets easier for me, and i am currently doing 3 sets of 12 reps on EACH machine, also incorporating the free weights as well. do you think my workout is diversified enough or should i be doing something totally different. my goal is to really tone up and get solid, as i really don't have much weight to _lose_.
