Would you ever pay $800 a month for a car payment?

Because that's what an SUV costs. Isn't that excessive? When did things get so high or am I out of it?

Unless I'm going to pay off a car in 2 years and that's the cost to do it - no way I pay that much.

I lease a Toyota Highlander for $290 - not $800. My sister just leased a Ford Expidition for about the same. Maybe it just varies state by state and lease vs. buy? I would pay $800 a month for an AMAZING hybrid luxury SUV (It would have to have all the bells and whistles)...if I were so rich money wasn't an issue. :) Unfortunately that won't be happening any time soon.

You don't have to pay that much. It depends on how much money you have to put down and/or trade in value. Also depends on your credit rating. I recently purchased a used 2004 Nissan Pathfinder that is loaded, leather, 6CD player, all powers, etc and only 17K miles. Got it for $18.5K. I did take the 6 year option (probably not the best idea, but wanted to keep my payment low). I did not put a penny down, not even for taxes or tags, and my payments are 328 per month.

Maybe try a different dealer or financing company.

I'm thinking that if you could actually afford to get this car the monthly payment wouldn't be an issue.

I think that is too much, no matter how much you make

Not me. I'm a certified tightwad. We have 2 fairly new cars in our family and the 2 payments together are roughly 7% of our net monthly income.

What kind of SUV is it? Are you leasing or buying? What kind of interest rate did you get? Do you have good credit or bad credit? All those things come into calculating the cost of a new vehicle.

Anyone paying $800 a month for an SUV is crazy to begin with, has terrible credit to be paying that, and the interest alone is killing them. You'd have to be stupid to pay that?

No, i did not pay that high amount for a car. As i took the car on rent but this amount is so high. Also you can get help from PillarWM to get traffic for your business easily, I used to have a car on rent in 400 dollars. And it is like the luxury cars.

Yeah, It may just vary state by state and leases buy? I would pay $700 a month for an excellent hybrid luxury SUV if I were so rich money wasn't an issue.
