Jack LaLane Juicer ? ?

So is this thing a good idea for $100 +/-?

It seems like it (grinding whole veggies into a smoothie quick...) although fresh produce costs $$ and the pulp is removed.
I know - "infomercial", but my wife and I have the George Foreman grill and that is actaully good and we use it... seems easier than the daily salad prep grind.

What do you all think? ...this and some fiber pills?

I have a Breville juicer and I love it. It's the stainless steel one (cost a lot of money)...but I love it...worth every penny.

I usually juice carrots and peeled apples then take out the pulp and use it to make carrot/apple muffins.

yep, i sure did. I had the Jack juicer and another one i bought at walmart. they both worked the same, but i found it very inconvenient (with working full time and having two children, etc.) to stop every other night for fresh fruits and veggies, prep everything, make the juice, and wash up the juicer and put it away when i can go to Trader joe's and buy fresh organic juice for $2.50 a bottle.

I will say, I do feel alot better since drinking juice everyday. It adds calories, but good ones.

sometimes i'll drink v8 fusion, so yummy!

I juice daily. I use organic fruits and veggies.

I don't like buying juices at stores because many of them have preservatives and added sugar/sodium...unless they do it fresh at the store that is....I mean more pre-packaged kind of stuff.

PP do you end up spending a lot of money on it?
I would LOVE to make 1 veggie and 1 fruit smoothie each morning, but it sounds pricey..

I have the Jack Lalane juicer, and the juice is great, but it is a real pain in the butt to clean. I don't use it as often as I would like because of the cleanup time. If you have the time, it is great - you can make all kinds of juices that are not available commercially and are packed with vitamins and flavor. My personal favorite: oranges, carrots, fresh beets and fresh ginger. Earthy, a little bit sweet, and delicious!
