Cutting back on the Sugar/carbs after 1PM.... Thoughts?

Hi! I am pretty in shape and exercise regularly and eat healthy, but have recently hit a plateau. I am trying to lose about 10-15 pounds. So i spoke with a trainer/nutritionists, who told me to try eating only vegetables and protein after 1PM to try and switch things up. Before I was eating quite a bit of fruit in the afternoon and before bed, so it sounds like a viable change and that it might work, but I was wondering if anyone has or does this ?? For breakfast I do have oatmeal and yogurt, and lunch i do include carbs(such as a whole wheat wrap and fruit EVERYDAY). ANY THOUGHTS?
