Weight Watchers Meetings

I did weight watchers about a year ago for a few months online then I started going to meetings. Once I started the meetings I noticed on the weeks that I didn't do so well I would hardly eat anything all that day (I went to the 7pm meeting) to insure that I would lose weight, or not gain. Because the thought of gaining at a meeting terrified me. I loved weight watchers when I did it online but I had a hard time with the accountiblity part of weighing in everyweek.

I was wondering if anyone else has experienced this? It felt like the beginning of an eating disorder for me! Then I stopped going to meetings because of this.

When I did WW in the past, I picked a Saturday 10am meeting for exactly that reason - no opportunity for recent food consumption to mess with the scales. Switch to an earlier meeting, problem solved.

I also did the 10 a.m. meeting on Saturday. It ensured that I was good on Friday night when everyone wants to go out after work etc, but if I lost weight that week I'd treat myself Sat night knowing I had the whole week to make up for it. I do online now and actually prefer the meetings because you're so much more accountable when someone else is looking at the scale. However, with kids, work, and life the online is so convenient!

OP here

I forgot to mention that I can't go early meetings because of work. And most weekends I'm out of town, so I can't really do it then either.

I've "dieted" many different times but when I was doing weight watchers it completely consumed me. I was just wondering if thats the way anyone else felt.

My wife did WW for a little while and it worked great for her. Now she has changed how she eats permanently and doesn't need it.
