I'm Needing a New Group or Team focused on Low Carb

I tend to follow a low carb life style due to my gluten allergies.

I am looking for an ACTIVE group that will help support, share ideas, share recipes, etc. I mean daily logging and chit chatting.

Can anyone point me in the direction of a group or team like this?

Thank you!

Low carb, or low grain? I don't eat a lot of grain products because I'm allergic to wheat (but not gluten- spelt is my grain staple), but I'm a chocoholic with no intent of changing my ways, and I eat a lot of fruit...

that is me to a tee hun! I tend to stick with low carb and eliminate grains and gluten because i can't have them, potatoes because i have an allergy to them. I pile on the fruits and veggies, and have my treats every now and then!

That is amazing that you three have the same condition as I do. I have a gluten intolerance and a low thyroid, and have been told by my doctor to work out an hour a day, and keep the carbs to 40 to 60. It gets a little tricky in the diet arena. I was thinking of naming a new group "Low Carb, Wheat Free", or we could start a team of the same name.

1:28 back,

PP, when you say you'r 40-60 carbs, is that from grain products, or in general? I mean, I'd love to join a wheat free group, but I know that in my morning smoothie, I've usually got about 60 carbs in my morning smoothie alone... (mango juice 32 carbs, banana 26 carbs, 5 large strawberries- and some rice protien powder). And then I will usually have either a wasa cracker with dinner, or a tortilla or something. I try to have only one serving of grains a day, but I don't really pay attention to the sugar count of my fruit or sugar... but I generally avoid white potatoes too...

OP Checking back.

I watch my carbs when it comes to grains, not fruit. I need my fruit and veggies to survive, my doctor and my osteopath both agree on that, but because of the food allergies and thyroid conditions, i don't eat much carbs when it comes to other foods.

that sounds like great group. I've started one up, please feel free to join!
