Eating peer pressure/feeling guilty
I work out 6 days a week and eat healthy. I've lost 10 pounds so far and have 15 left to reach my goal. (I grew up in a very health conscious family but gained weight due to emotional eating, anxiety/depression). I'm going to a friend's birthday party tonight at a pizza joint. I'll likely be hanging out with my friend and her boyfriend since we don't know the rest of this girl's friends. So my friend and her bf eat very unhealthy and are sedentary. They eat out together several times a week- burger joints, pizza, desserts, chicken wings, nachos, egg rolls, curly fries, you name it. It's pretty disgusting. Not to mention, both sedentary and really need to lose weight and get healthy/in shape. When I eat out with them, I can't seem to stand my ground with my eating. I'm telling myself I'll only eat 2 slices of pizza tonight and nothing else, but I'm scared I'll cave in and eating another slice to make it seem like I'm some "weird" health person or that I'm not trying to lose weight and not "starving" myself. I'm also like this around other ppl, where I feel guilty if I don't eat how others eat or consume similar portions and such. I think also I lack self confidence to stand my ground. How do you guys handle eating peer pressure?
