17 years old and helpless

I'm 17 years old and 297 pound and I'm 6'4'' tall....i set a new years resolution to lose 68 pounds by my 18th birthday in the end of August. I decided to drop weight because I'm sick of being left in the dust in basketball and I have an extremely low self asteem. I don't want to be an outsider anymore...i feel reluctant to add friends on fb because i don't want to embarrass them.... I just want to feel better about myself...thing i need help with is my diet because I'll eat anything and everything and keeping motivated because i will play the I'll start tomorrow game until its too late. I drink between 4 and 6 cans of mountain dew daily any healthy alternatives other than water?...maybe OJ or milk? Or is there something else?
