Anybody else get bloody noses while on aspirin therapy?

I have to take a 325mg tablet of aspirin every day to prevent serious hot flashes from my cholesterol drug (niaspan). If I forget the aspirin I feel like I'm locked in a 100 degree room with an air forced heater blasting at me for about 5-6 hours. I spend the rest of the day taking cool showers to keep from throwing up and/or passing out.

After experiencing much, much worse side effects from other cholesterol drugs, my doc and I came to the conclusion that niaspan is the only cholesterol drug I can take. And as long as I take the aspirin every morning when I wake up, there are no ill effects from the drug.

However, I've recently started having nosebleeds whenever I sneeze or blow my nose. (It's ragweed/hayfever season right now and I have the allergy.) My doc's suggestion is to take yet another drug for the allergy, so I don't sneeze or have to blow my nose. But the lowest dose/least side effect allergy drug makes me feel exhausted and drowsy. All I want to do is sleep. So I decided not to take it.

Not sure what to do now. Any suggestions from people with similar circumstances?

Thanks.
