How do you get your little ones to share?

I know it's typical but any teachings that anyone has would be most appreciated.

I found something that works wonders! When kids are fighting over a toy, choose one to step back and have him/her repeat this phrase after you, "May I have that when you're done with it?" Then have the other child repeat the response after you, "Why certainly!" I know it sounds corny, but if you role play it enough times, and insist that they behave this way in this kind of situation, they actually will do it. Try it and let me know how it works for you. I have two daughters and I teach grade 2, so I have quite a bit of experience with kids.

Yes, consistency and role play are wonderful ideas. Remember, too, their age. You didn't mention ages, but it's common for little ones to have a hard time with this - doesn't mean you shouldn't teach it, just don't fret that you're raising a toy hog ;)
