Chinese in the mall
How many calories are in these foods at that cajun-chinese place in the mall? what are the healthiest options?

Check out calorieking.com and see if the chain is included. Generally, you want to stay away from anything in a sauce or that's fried. In other words, why bother?! That's all the good stuff, right?

The stuff that looks like non-fried meats and veggies from those places aren't so bad; the fried stuff is terrible. Also, rice is a lot of calories, particularly in the portions that they serve. You can usually substitute steamed veggies for the rice though.
Panda Express gives nutritional info on their website, so you might want to check that out; it might be similar to other places.
For example, if I get a 2-entree dish at Panda Express, I can do the following:
Mushroom Chicken and Broccoli Beef, with a side of steamed veggies, for 370 cals, a reasonable lunch.
An order of Orange Chicken, however, is 500 cals on it's own! So, pair that with another entree and a side, and that's a ton of calories! The steamed rice, 1 serving is 380 cals; chow mein is 390 cals, and the fried rice is 450 cals.
So, the people who order orange chicken w/ a side of fried rice, that's 950 cals right there!
