What's your favorite fitness/health magazine?
What do you read to keep you motivated? I love fitness articles and find they are great to read before going to the gym, while on the bike, when I am having a craving, I just need more, more, more!
In the search for a new magazine I am trying to keep in mind good articles, healthy recipes, exersize tips, overall health, nutrition, & ADDS = the fewer the better, etc.
Some I am considerring: Prevention, Fitness, Woman's Health, Oxygen, Cooking Light, what else is good?

As a woman I find more often than not, the sensible articles are found in men's health mag.

Oprah.....which is really a lot more comprehensive but it has really good health related articles.
I like prevention too.....quick read stuff and it tends to include inspiring stories.

1:04 - I agree! I've subscribed to Men's Health for years and always loved it, so I was excited when Women's Health came out. I tried it and turns out - Men's Health is still my favorite!

My favorite is Fitness Rx for Women. They are always up on the latest fitness/health news and all the articles are based on solid research. I especially like that they always reference the original research articles in case you want to read up on it yourself.

My favorite is Prevention. It has a little bit of everything. I do get Women's Health, but I seem to skip through a lot of it. I read every page in Prevention.

I love the Weight Watchers Magazine!! It has recipe's and success stories and a few challenges to help give you some ideas for your own weight loss. Also, you can send in a favorite recipe, and if they pick it they will try to find a way to make it a healthier version. I also love the inspirational areas that they have it definately helps keep me motivated I find myself anxious for the next magazine to come.

Self! It is about a healthy, fun, lifestyle... so its not 100% diet and exercise, but I absolutly love reading it and it leaves me feeling positive and motivated about many aspects of my life.

Oxygen
Oxygen is an AMAZING magazine! I don't really do all the excersises in it but it gives great ideas.... and is meant for women who like to lift weights. The workouts are AMAZING... I doubt a perosnal trainer is needed if you keep up with some of the moves in there.
FITNESS is also pretty good.

Why do you like those magazine?
I love the suggestions. I really don't like adds, are any of these particularly add friendly?
p.s. I currently subscribe to Oxygen and like it a lot, its a bit high on the exercise articles but love all the other content. To the other oxygen subscribers, don't try to the apple cottage cheese recipe in the newest mag, it was bland and mushy.
