Abs Diet - Food Choices...
Anyone on the Abs Diet? Would like to know how you're finding the recipes and portion sizes.
Wed. Feb 13, 5:53pm
I have the regular version of the book, not the one for women, so I don't know how different they are. But the portions are definitely man-size and the protein focus is very muscle-oriented (as opposed to weight/fat loss). The smoothie recipes are tasty though.

With the Abs Diet you can eat what ever you want (of course there are all the good things you should eat...) He has a lot of recipes in the book with all the power foods. As for portion sizes if you don't know what a portion of something should be either check the packaging it came in, or (if not available) check a calorie counting website, there is even one on PT that will give you the general serving size of any listed foods.

I stick to portion sizes religiously. Its the constant eating on the abs diet that makes me wonder whether by the time my next weigh in comes around whether I'm actually gonna gain pounds rather than take them off. I'm going to stay on the abs diet for now.
The smoothies ARE REALLY good too by the way!

Ab Diet
I just started this diet and I am worried if I do not follow the recipes that I will be either eating too much or not enough. It says to not count calories but it also says to not blow all your calories in one day. Not sure what that means.
How important are the smoothies? I currently drink a whey protien drink after I work out. Not sure if I count this as a snack because it doen't include a fruit or carbohydrate.
