OT Disney World Question
PT people seem pretty sharp and worldly so I thought I would ask for advice on this hotel - Has anyone ever stayed at the Buena Vista Palace (off disney property). It looks really nice, trip advisor has good reviews, just wanted to get a bit more input on this place or any other Disney advice anyone has. We are going in May, we have 3 kids 9, and 7 year old twins.
thanks!

A GREAT forum to seek travel advice is at Fodors.com and go to the TALK section. Lots of people who have been lots of places and they can give you lots of specific feedback. HTH!

I hav not stayed there but I would recommend staying on Disney World. The hotles aren't great but it is great to be so close to your hotel. Traffic around there is crazy!

We've been to Disney twice but we stayed in a house. The first time we shared a house with another family (4 adults and 4 children altogether). The second time we had 10 adults and 10 children in a gigantic house. The houses had pools and the larger one had a hot tub. We loved them both. We've never stayed at the resorts though. Have fun!

I HAVE STAYED THERE! I was actually just there in January for work. Um, its a pretty decent property. A bit older but small which is nice. Not a whole lot of restaurant selections.....theres a cafe, a steakhouse, and a sports bar/restaurant. There is also a small deli that stays open till 2pm. A bit pricey, but it is a resort which I understand. Downtown Disney is within walking distance so we ate there a few times. Also, not too far (2 minute car ride) there is a shopping center with tons of "quick restaurants" and a grocery store which was convenient. My coworker and I also had lousy housekeeping service. Other coworkers noted that their's were fine so maybe it was just our floor?!?!? I know they some times have great rates though so I'd say if you're getting a decent rate, its not bad. If you're paying a lot, I would just hope you're not expecting a Hilton or similar. Its not that! Whatever you choose I hope you and your family have fun!!!
