I'm a 20 year old, college junior who is motivated to lose the weight. I'm a vegetarian and I eat healthy, lots of fruits, vegetables, and whole grains but I have a major sweet tooth.

|
I'm now 41. I graduated and got my Paralegal Certificate and was even president of the Paralegal Association. I found a good job at a law firm which actually allows me to get some movement throughout the day, so that's a happy thing.
I'm married too, and a step-mother to a special-needs teen. He's a good kid, but he's got an appetite like a water buffalo.
Prior to all this, I worked for Mervyn's for 15 years. Weight has always been a challenge for me, but now especially after losing the job which had me walking- on average- 17,000 steps a day- I've seen my waistline grow and my body get all squishy!
I don't need to be "smokin' hot"- although, that IS fun. I just want to feel active and attractive. My husband loves me thick or thin- but I prefer SLIM.

24 year old college grad(Business/Econ). Now I am an actress/writer/substitute teacher :) I do yoga most days of the week, I love to run and I am a pretty healthy eater (macrobiotic/vegetarian-ish).
I am fit, but I do not enjoy myself nearly enough. I want to be more carefree with my attitudes toward myself and food, and I know I can do that by changing some of my habits.
My biggest issues are eating late at night and eating when I'm not hungry. Usually when I do this stuff, I feel so crappy that I start the self-hatin thing.
I love food, movies, cooking, playing the drums, surfing and life in general! I just want to enjoy it a little bit more...make sense?

A teacher (1st and 2nd grade). In my early forties with no kids but a very sweet new husband that LOVES to eat and is slowly changing his junk food habits because he also wants to lose weight. He can eat more and tests my resolve...

I'm 33 years old. I have a 11 year old, 9 year old, and a 10 month old...all girls. I work full time in government relations. I have a beyond wonderful hubby that helps me with everything. I'm a lucky girl! We have 2 cats that are ambivalent to the world. We live in a very small town in PA. Love it there! After I had my first daughter I had lost all the baby weight, plus an additional 20 pounds and was 104 pounds, size 2. I didn't look super healthy, but was so busy with a colicky baby that I couldn't keep weight on. After my 2nd baby, I again lost all the baby weight, but stayed around 110 pounds and looked really good and healthy, size 4. That's my goal again. I just had my third daughter in August and shed all the baby weight, but now I need to shed some more pounds to get back down to where I was 5 years ago. I hope some others are looking for similar goals and join me!

I'm 49, married 25 years to my HS sweetheart, have a teenage son, a job I thoroughly enjoy, and, overall, a great life. I have struggled since childhood with weight. Finally at a place in my life where I feel as if it's okay to take care of myself.

I'm a 21 year old go go dancer and club/event promoter and I do some modeling. I'm on stage a lot, so I get really stressed out if I don't feel I look my best.

I'm 46, I work full-time, and I have three daughters. I've been trying to lose the same 50-60 pounds for 12 years. I can stick with healthy eating and exercise for about 2 weeks; I lose weight quickly during that time and feel great. Then I get off track and do not manage to interrupt the slide. I'm looking forward to working with all of you.

I'm 22, a recent college graduate who packed on the pounds in college. I'm an emotional eater who has a hard time sticking to a healthy lifestyle, which includes exercise. I need all the help I can get.

|
I've used/tried just about everything under the sun. I've come to realize that no 'program' or 'pill' or anything like that is going to lose weight for me. I'm going to have to do the 'work' to see the results and that means changing my habits and attitudes about food.

I'm 29 years old and have been struggling with weight gain and loss over the past decade. I play on a roller derby team and want to get into tip top shape so I can kick all the other girls booties!!

I'm 18, a freshman in college, and I really want to lose weight. I feel like my friends (some of my fake friends) and family want me to gain weight, but i'm on the borderline of normal weight and overweight for my height, 4'9". If i go back to visit them and they see i haven't gained weight, i feel like they'll hate me even more. This same dilemma happened with my sister. My family and her friends spreaded rumors that she was anorexic, which is not true because she's normal weight, and whenever they were around her they would tell her she was too skinny and needed to gain weight or eat unhealthy foods such as pizza with grease dripping off it. Keeping in mind how they will think of me, having cravings for potato chips, candy, and ice-cream binges, and being overloaded with stress and anxiety from school makes it difficult to lose a few pounds. I want to lose weight and i hope joining this team makes it easier. I'm vegetarian but binge on junk food.

I am about to be 28 and I am married also I have a 10yr old son. I was always very small or I guess better term skinny and than I developed depression when I moved from NY to NC and it just seemed continuesly I gained weight over the last 3 years I have gained 3 dress sizes, which seems to just make the depression greater. I am doing good now and I am going to be sure to get back on track this time. I completed a course for Pilates instruction, and Personal Trainng and that seems to not have really motivated me at all!

I'm an almost 24 yr old starting my first year of medical school. I've always been an overachiever, and have used food most of my life to deal with stress. I struggled with anorexia as a teenager, and now, ironically, I'm battling compulsive binging/overeating.
Although I'm a science nerd, I am also in love with literature, philosophy, learning of all kinds. I think that the world is a fascinating place, with so many amazing people, and I feel that I have so much more to offer it than I currently am giving.
Lots of people throughout my life have told me that I'm "smart", but rarely have I ever heard that I'm beautiful or even pretty. Feeling ugly lead me to eat self-destructively. I feel that part of my weight loss journey will simply be to find some self-respect.
