Team Name: Central Valley: Back on Track
Members: 46
Location: Fresno, CA 93704

Goals: You've been there before- maybe more than once. You KNOW how good it felt to be trim, active and healthy. But now things have gotten away from you...School, kids, work, life changes- its easy to get distracted and fall off the wagon. Thankfully that wagon is pretty easy to get back up on! Let's all do what we know will get us back on track: eat healthier, move more and start caring for US again.

Profile: Students, parents, working, stay-at-home, or retired. Who couldn't use a helping hand?

I'm a 20 year old, college junior who is motivated to lose the weight. I'm a vegetarian and I eat healthy, lots of fruits, vegetables, and whole grains but I have a major sweet tooth.

I'm now 41. I graduated and got my Paralegal Certificate and was even president of the Paralegal Association. I found a good job at a law firm which actually allows me to get some movement throughout the day, so that's a happy thing. I'm married too, and a step-mother to a special-needs teen. He's a good kid, but he's got an appetite like a water buffalo. Prior to all this, I worked for Mervyn's for 15 years. Weight has always been a challenge for me, but now especially after losing the job which had me walking- on average- 17,000 steps a day- I've seen my waistline grow and my body get all squishy! I don't need to be "smokin' hot"- although, that IS fun. I just want to feel active and attractive. My husband loves me thick or thin- but I prefer SLIM.

24-year old college grad (International Business). Certified Personal Trainer. Fashion Designer.

24 year old college grad(Business/Econ). Now I am an actress/writer/substitute teacher :) I do yoga most days of the week, I love to run and I am a pretty healthy eater (macrobiotic/vegetarian-ish). I am fit, but I do not enjoy myself nearly enough. I want to be more carefree with my attitudes toward myself and food, and I know I can do that by changing some of my habits. My biggest issues are eating late at night and eating when I'm not hungry. Usually when I do this stuff, I feel so crappy that I start the self-hatin thing. I love food, movies, cooking, playing the drums, surfing and life in general! I just want to enjoy it a little bit more...make sense?

A teacher (1st and 2nd grade). In my early forties with no kids but a very sweet new husband that LOVES to eat and is slowly changing his junk food habits because he also wants to lose weight. He can eat more and tests my resolve...

im 20 years old and i am getting married in a year and i cant wait i am so excited...

I'm 33 years old. I have a 11 year old, 9 year old, and a 10 month old...all girls. I work full time in government relations. I have a beyond wonderful hubby that helps me with everything. I'm a lucky girl! We have 2 cats that are ambivalent to the world. We live in a very small town in PA. Love it there! After I had my first daughter I had lost all the baby weight, plus an additional 20 pounds and was 104 pounds, size 2. I didn't look super healthy, but was so busy with a colicky baby that I couldn't keep weight on. After my 2nd baby, I again lost all the baby weight, but stayed around 110 pounds and looked really good and healthy, size 4. That's my goal again. I just had my third daughter in August and shed all the baby weight, but now I need to shed some more pounds to get back down to where I was 5 years ago. I hope some others are looking for similar goals and join me!

I'm 33, 5' 7", recently lost 30 pounds with peertrainer and had my first baby. I want to eat healthy and stick to a workout schedule and lose all the excess baby weight gained (gained about 54 pounds)

I'm 49, married 25 years to my HS sweetheart, have a teenage son, a job I thoroughly enjoy, and, overall, a great life. I have struggled since childhood with weight. Finally at a place in my life where I feel as if it's okay to take care of myself.

I'm a 21 year old go go dancer and club/event promoter and I do some modeling. I'm on stage a lot, so I get really stressed out if I don't feel I look my best.

I have run for over 25years, many of those racing for college teams on athletic scholarship for long distance running. I am the owner of Blonde Runner Health, LLC ( in Utah and love to promote health. I am a certified personal trainer and running and triathlete coach. I believe in living a healthy lifestyle. It can happen even when you have four little children that keep you hoppin'. 5K PR: 18:06.17

I've used/tried just about everything under the sun. I've come to realize that no 'program' or 'pill' or anything like that is going to lose weight for me. I'm going to have to do the 'work' to see the results and that means changing my habits and attitudes about food.

Hi everyone! My name is Cierra. Im 21 years old and Im a sailor in the United States Navy. Im currently on my second deployment. I'm in my early twenties and I need to shed those early twenties partying pounds. Ten to fifteen to be exact. Don't get me wrong, I'm still down for having a good time... I'd just like to look good while doing it!

I am a realtor in PA. Used to love my job, but I wonder if there is something out there that could be more satisfying? My son is gradutating from high school this week. June 4th 2009......

Married. Work in an office all day. Have two fur children. Need to loose weight because I want to have children.

I'm 46, I work full-time, and I have three daughters. I've been trying to lose the same 50-60 pounds for 12 years. I can stick with healthy eating and exercise for about 2 weeks; I lose weight quickly during that time and feel great. Then I get off track and do not manage to interrupt the slide. I'm looking forward to working with all of you.

I'm 22, a recent college graduate who packed on the pounds in college. I'm an emotional eater who has a hard time sticking to a healthy lifestyle, which includes exercise. I need all the help I can get.

I'm 29 years old and have been struggling with weight gain and loss over the past decade. I play on a roller derby team and want to get into tip top shape so I can kick all the other girls booties!!

I am the mom of 2 lovely daughters almost 6 and 9. In my free time I like to paint, do yoga, and other generally calm activities.

I love to camp with my family. I also love to travel with family and friends. I enjoy reading, cooking, spending time with my dog and hanging with my kids. We are big outdoor enthusiatists and do lots of hiking, fishing, biking, etc..

i am a single mom of 3 daughters and i have a grandson, i work full time, in august i will be returning to college, and i am trying to get a small business off of the ground... my life is very busy and i am making a lot of life changes.

I'm a 26 year old school counselor. I lost about 50 pounds couple of years ago, developed an eating disorder (subsequently conquered) and ended up gaining about 20 pounds of it back.

I'm 36 years old living in Los Angeles. I gained about 25 pounds a few years ago after I quit smoking and have lost 15 of those pounds. I still want to lose 15 more. I'm 5'2 and my ideal weight is 115.

I'm a 31 year old mother of two boys (5 and 2). I work full time as a Speech-Pathologist in the public schools.

I am about to be 28 and I am married also I have a 10yr old son. I was always very small or I guess better term skinny and than I developed depression when I moved from NY to NC and it just seemed continuesly I gained weight over the last 3 years I have gained 3 dress sizes, which seems to just make the depression greater. I am doing good now and I am going to be sure to get back on track this time. I completed a course for Pilates instruction, and Personal Trainng and that seems to not have really motivated me at all!

I'm 23 yo and currently attending Iowa State University for engineering. I love doing any exciting or new things and meeting new people. This site looks great, I'm really looking forward to using it

I am 27 and am have had a life long love affair with food. It has now turned toxic. I am active but take in way more calories than I burn. I am ready to get serious.

I'm a stay at home mom with 4 kids. 8 year old and 22mos. old triplets. I have been sitting at about 210 for a while. Got to 200lbs. a few months ago but I just can't seem to get below the 200 level.

49 YR OLD 3 grown daughters 6 grandchildren whom i adore. not social at all just work and stay at home spend time with my daughters and grandkids. i work for a couple of great docs that support me on my weight lose and give me great advice

I'm 16 years old and a senior in high school. I've lost 20 pounds since freshman year, but I'm looking to lose more.

I'm 18, a freshman in college, and I really want to lose weight. I feel like my friends (some of my fake friends) and family want me to gain weight, but i'm on the borderline of normal weight and overweight for my height, 4'9". If i go back to visit them and they see i haven't gained weight, i feel like they'll hate me even more. This same dilemma happened with my sister. My family and her friends spreaded rumors that she was anorexic, which is not true because she's normal weight, and whenever they were around her they would tell her she was too skinny and needed to gain weight or eat unhealthy foods such as pizza with grease dripping off it. Keeping in mind how they will think of me, having cravings for potato chips, candy, and ice-cream binges, and being overloaded with stress and anxiety from school makes it difficult to lose a few pounds. I want to lose weight and i hope joining this team makes it easier. I'm vegetarian but binge on junk food.

I'm an almost 24 yr old starting my first year of medical school. I've always been an overachiever, and have used food most of my life to deal with stress. I struggled with anorexia as a teenager, and now, ironically, I'm battling compulsive binging/overeating. Although I'm a science nerd, I am also in love with literature, philosophy, learning of all kinds. I think that the world is a fascinating place, with so many amazing people, and I feel that I have so much more to offer it than I currently am giving. Lots of people throughout my life have told me that I'm "smart", but rarely have I ever heard that I'm beautiful or even pretty. Feeling ugly lead me to eat self-destructively. I feel that part of my weight loss journey will simply be to find some self-respect.

I am 40 years old. I have been married to my husband for almsot 14 years and we have two beautiful children. I work full time and get stressed more often than I like.
