Im 19, married, and currently a college student. I plan on attending nursing school, and completing a minor in spanish. I love to travel, and to visit museums and the theater.

30 year old female fell off the fitness wagon when I dislocated my shoulder in September. Looking to get back into shape and shed 10 lbs

I am 30 years old, married, and a Middle School English teacher. I'm currently working towards my second education related Master's Degree.

I am 23 years old. I graduated last May from Utah State in Social Work. My husband and I moved out here after graduating to pursue our career goals. We are enjoying New York but are currently going through a hard bout with being home-sick. I'm athletic and have never had much a problem with my weight but since I started an office job I have been eating more and exercising less, hence the 15 pound weight gain.

I am an active runner and cyclist. I have lost 45 lbs so far, but have been 20 lbs shy of my goal for 2 years now. I want to be the person that I know is inside of me. I want to finish what I have started.

I am 65, I work as a Lactation Consultant and Doula in the NY metropolitan area. Have struggled with weight since about age 50. A few months ago joined weight watchers and so have stopped gaining weight. When I joined I was around 154 but always kind of gaining. Now I'm around 145-7 and no longer gaining, but also not continuing to lose. I don't mind losing slowly as I'm already excited and feel much better about how I look now. I study Focusing ( and work with new mothers around the city to teach them about their Newborn.

Hi , I'm 31 years old . I thank G-d have 2 adorable children that keep me very busy , but not busy enought not to eat!!! I need to lose weight.

Way too busy!

Im interested in meeting new people and just recently started to consider getting a lic. to be a personal trainer.

tall with tummy

25. Not much of an exerciser. Things are finally catching up with me and I am noticing my body expand.

I'm 5'7' and 140lbs..i'm healthier than i was when i weighed less but i'd like to get back down to 130lbs

I am a 17 year old african american female who is pre-diabetic. If I don't change my weight, I will have type 2 diabetes. When I see something delicious, I eat it. Whether I am hungry or not. I am 5ft weighing in at 160 lbs.

I am 5'4", small frame, and 128lbs. I would like to weigh 110lbs.

I'm a 20 year old girl who loves fashion and designing clothes and just wants to be 120 lbs.

39, happily married, no kids.

I am in my late teen's and recently put on 35lbs. Actually I put on 35lbs months ago and just never took it off. I was going through a serious depression and ate compulsively. Now, I'm feeling a lot better and am definitely up to changing my bad habits.

I am a 43 year old Mom of a 2 year old we live in Brooklyn. I am looking forward to getting healthy and losing 50 lbs

I'm a 39 year old woman in Brooklyn, NY. I'm a musician and a professor with a very demanding travel schedule. Last January I was hit by a car and fractured my pelvis. I'm mostly recovered now, and happy to be able to jog and jump again. I've lost the 10 pounds I put on after the accident, and now I want to lose another 35. I'll start with the next 10.

I'm working with a great personal trainer once a week, but have stalled in my exercise and food tracking because of a demanding travel schedule. I need help staying on track, and am looking for people to whom I can be accountable, and who can be accountable to me.

On Memorial Day, when I joined PT, I wrote "For now I'm concerned with building up as much muscle as I've lost to injury and recovery, and balancing my diet so that I consume more fibre and less beer and snacks." I'm happy to say that I accomplished my goals, and now I want to resume my efforts.

My pipe dream is to look good in a bathing suit. I'm not talking bikini, even. A maillot would be lovely.

Memorial Day starting point: 219 pounds.
Labour Day goal: 209 pounds.
Christmas Day goal: 195 pounds.
As long as it takes: 170 pounds.

Weight log:
May 23 2009 219
June 1 2009 217.2
August 9 2009 211.8
November 5 2009 205
November 7 2009 203.6

I am 24 and 122lbs. My goal weight is 108lbs (number doesn't count as much as look/feel to compensate for muscle etc) and I'd like to build a lot of muscle. I never stick to my diets/exercise plans so this time I am ready to do it! No quitting for me this time!!! I love sports but have a hard time motivating myself to do physical activity and I LOVE food- all sorts of food! I'm learning to be healthier now and make exercise a regular routine to keep my cardiovascular health up. I need to learn the routine now so that I can keep it as a good habit as I get older.

I tend to leave these "about me" sections blank, mostly because I'm not sure what the important bullet points are. I'm 31, 5'3" tall, I'm an Illustrator and a Graphic Designer. I live in Brooklyn, NY. I run, badly. I've been trying to loose weight for over a year now, and I've lost about 25 lbs. I have a fitness/weightloss blog :

I am a 5'2" female living in NYC with my live in boyfriend. He works nights, so I am always cooking meals for one ... which makes keeping quick cook or pre-portioned meals out of the freezer a really hard thing to do.

I am a 25-year-old female, and I recently moved back home after living in NYC all by myself for a year and a half. I am happy to be near my friends, family, and boyfriend in MA again. I used to be a size 6; now I am a size 16. I used PEERtrainer before, and I almost reached my goals. I hope to do it again by posting everyday, being active, and sticking to it! Plan: eat healthy and work out at least 3 times a week at the gym and run 2 times a week.

I use to be real active, dancing, sports, walking. But in the last two years I have been unemployed, so all I do is sit home and look for work on line. So Now when I try to dance, walk or anything active I get so winded I am a little discouraged. I have been heavy my whole life but always real active so it is just in the last few years that I have felt this weight really effect my life.

25 yr-old NYC girl who loves vegetables, grains, olive oil, and fruit, but has a serious weakness for sweets!!

I'm 25 years old and live in Brooklyn, NY. I've always struggled with my weight and have even battled some eating disorders as a teenager. I'm a 19 year old athlete. I play softball basketball and soccer and I've still managed to be overweight. Looking to slim down for myself, my boyfriend, and so i can keep up in my sports.

food makes me happy

Losing weight and looking to lose more. Career dieter looking to master more methods to lose even more. I am ready to do whatever is necessary to succeed ! 47 year old happily married - six kids - three married and 3 grandsons.

I am 22 years old and work 7 days a week. I am a customer service representative for a big company. I also work at my uncles bagelstore on the weekends( which i really enjoy) I dont like to exersize. I love fatty foods, especially dairy ( cheese yum!) and i have a sweet tooth, but dont like chocolate.

I am 21 years old and I live in Brooklyn, NY. I have struggled with my weight and body image my whole life. I am currently 5'1 158 lbs. I went through high school and college overweight and I feel that it has hindered me. I am done living this way. My goal is to lose 30 lbs and keep it off.

everyone knows me as BabyBop. im 17 and about to be a college sophomore. i was always over weight when i was younger but then in high school i lost weight. my biggest was 234lbs but then i got down to 175. I was always stuck there and couldn't get any smaller so now Im trying to loose more weight.

I'm 34yrs old, 5' 7" and 192lbs.

I'm 18. I weigh 163 lbs and Im only 5ft. I stopped growing taller so i can only get wider, which I don't want! I attend college far from home so i do not have the luxury of always choosing my food. My food budget is 20 dollars a month at walmart since my campus already has food (mostly unhealthy).

I work full time and am a mom during all the other time. 39 yo and getting divorced. It's very difficult juggling everything. I try to wake up every day at 5:30am to work out before the day starts. When my momentum is rolling it's easy. When I start to skip a day here and there is when I slow down and start getting 'chubbly' again. I also really like to have a drink or two at the end of the day. I need to cut back to reach my size goals.

30-year-old, 5'5 vegetarian who has indulged far too often in stress and emotional eating. I don't own a scale, but the last time I weighed myself, I fluctuated around 150. I love going out running and do so every morning, but tend to use that as a license to eat whatever and how much I want. Bad idea.

I'm 15 years old, 5"2.5, and 156 pounds. I am a lard that takes up extra space, and has low self-esteem. I used to be around the same height, and was 120 pounds. Even when I was 120, I was fat. I will change, I will exercise everyday, I can't stand wanting to hide in a corner every time I feel insecure. I want to be fit. I want to be skinny. I will feel good about myself!

I am a 27 year old graduate student living in Brooklyn with my boyfriend.

42yo professional woman who struggles with emotional/overeating. I am trying to overcome a resistance to exercising and cook at home more. I don't really like to cook and it's too easy to get takeout/eat out in NYC.

My name is Kathleen, I'm 21 and like most people in this country, I've had so much trouble trying to lose weight. I was always on the chubby side, however, My body was at a healthy weight of 140 for years. My body just seemed to adjust to that weight. Even at 140, I could still have afforded to lose more [ I'm 5'3'']. For awhile it was about how I looked and not about how healthy I was. As I got older and other factors such as stress and stomach problems, I ballooned up to 170+ pounds!! It was as if it came out of nowhere. No matter what I tried doing, nothing seemed to really work. However, this does not deter me from wanting to continue my goal to lose weight. I hope to help others in doing this. I'm outgoing, lively and the life of the party type and I want to get my life back. I'm young and I want to be able to run around and enjoy my youth while it's still here.

I'm a 24 year old male college student (political science major). 5'11 height. I started losing weight in January 2009. When I started I was 303 so I have come a long way, but I'm still not quite there yet. It's funny I remember when I was still over 300, I dreamed about being in the 220's. Now I dream about being under 200. It will happen, I'm determined.

Hi, I'm a 26 year old City girl. Up until last year, I was that annoying type who could eat whatever I wanted and not gain a pound. I don't know what happened - but in just the past year I've gained 15 pounds! I am still what you would technically consider slim, but I know that if I don't curtail my eating habits now, my weight is only going to go up. Ideally, I'd like to lose all of those 15 pounds, but am willing to compromise and accept adulthood by making my realistic goal nine pounds.

I'm a 34 year-old woman and I've struggled with body issues my whole life. I'm a past competitive swimmer, and I tend to go in spurts with my eating and workout habits. I'll get really focused for awhile and then fall off and get discouraged and feel disappointed in myself. SInce my mother's sudden death from pancreatic cancer in 2007, I've lost some drive and battled depression - that has resulted in my gaining about 25 pounds. I want to be healthy to avoid complications as I age. I want to feel comfortable in my own skin. I want to buy cute clothes! I want to feel confident.

I'm extraordinary motivated once i put my head to something i like to see it through.

I have lost 30 pounds since Christmas and now I am working on the next 30. In an ideal world i would weigh 125. I am not sure if that realistic but considering i am 5'1, it should be. I have hit a plateau around 150-155 and need to refocus my attention on weight loss. I start school in two weeks and start internship in four and in four weeks i would like to be solidly in the 140s and not creeping in and out. I need to have a serious caloric deficit in order to lose weight but i want to prepare for healthy eating after the weight comes off, learn how to maintain my exercise habits through working out with friends and making it a social thing. I want to drink more green juices and leaner proteins, more veggies, more whole foods, less take out, less drinking, less sweets, less eating bc of boredom. I cant wait to be back in the 140s and then the 130s ugh its going to feel so good.

I'm a 28 year old new mom. I have gained weight over the years and on top of that I just had a baby girl who is now 7 months old. I gained extra 20 pounds when I was pregnant. I really need to lose all theseweight at this point.

I love to workout and go to the gym every day of the week, but I also like to cook and eat and drink. I don't want to give up the things I love, but I know I have to better about moderation. I tend to "be good" during the week and then bust out during the weekends.

I am. 36 year old single mom. I am a hair stylist with terrible work hours, no time to eat, and busy when I get home.

my name is pauley.i live in brooklyn, nyc.i am a positive and generally happy person.i have a zen buddah perspective on life and spiritual in my thinking as in my connection to my actions.i have got the mind and soul, now its the body i want to make healthy and in tune.i am looking for walking partners.

I am known for my hotwing hangovers, and cupcake binges.

I'm a 36 year old woman that lost nearly 40 lbs over three years ago. It was an awesome experience getting fit and feeling strong. I recently started an MA Program and gained 7 lbs--I was already working on those last 5 lbs. Working full time and going to school have made it difficult to maintain healthy eating habits and an exercise routine; both of which I really enjoy. I'm hoping to manage my time better and get back on track.

5'2, 24 years old, busy with three jobs, one being a bar with late night hours. yo-yo dieter. aiming to lose 20lbs and get into shape permanently. my weakness is overindulging in huge meals.

I'm 29, about 100 lbs overweight, and have yo-yo'd back and forth pretty much all my life. I want to make a serious change in my life so I can live LONG and healthfully... lower my risk to heart disease, stroke, diabetes.

i am 23 yrs.old n mother of 2 baby boys.not happy the way i look.5.6 height 170 weight

I'm 32 and expecting my first child late this year. I'm living in NYC and trying to keep a healthy lifestyle.

I'm a mother and a homebody. My comfort food is pasta.

I am a 61 year old former psychiatric nurse.....I have been living alone for a long time now.....I have a cat named Emily....I am currently recovering from a total hip replacement.

I'm 56 years old married male and work a stressfull job. need to drop weight and find ways to deal with stress.

I tend to snack for no reason, particularly when I get home (I go straight to kitchen/fridge out of habit), and after dinner before bed. I also tend to go to bed late, which = less sleep, which some say is also tied to overeating the following day.

I'm 64 years old and tired of struggling with my weight. I am on the verge of developing diabetes. I have a fantastic family (husband of 42 years and three wonderful sons). I want to be healthy so I can continue to enjoy life and look forward to having grandchildren. I am discouraged, but hopeful that I can succeed with help from this team.

I'm a 33 year old guy in NY, fun loving person who's recently been making lots of changes in my life. It's all really exciting and scary, looking for some new ways to modify my behavior and the way that I think. My hope is to stop thinking about weight and food and just be free to be me.

26 yearold female mother of five year never lost babyweight

Hi! I am Ezra Rogers. I have done Ph.D in Community Health Services and also worked for many healthcare NGOs in Africa and Asia. I have many health issues because of my obesity and need to overcome them. This is something very difficult for me as losing weight is hard. This is reason why many women suffer from physiological imbalances in their bodies. No matter how difficult it may be, will try to succeed and get a new shape in my Life.

I have crossed the 55 mark and since starting menopause I have gained consistently. Every year I lose the same 20 lbs and gain them back and find 5 more. I walk everywhere (nyc) I go to the gym consistently bootcamp 2x+ a week, core classes, yoga, and still the same. Anyway...tired of the same cycle hoping this can really bring on a permanent change.

I'm a 30 year old mother of three and have gone up and down in weight and I just wanna be happy and healthy I'm getting old and this is to much to carry

I'm extremly busy, juggling my day job, my Real Estate business and my passion for entertainment...singing, acting, radio show. I'm extremely knowledgeable about fitnees, health, nutrition, diet dos and don'ts but my problem is dedication and consistency. Also, i guess i'm a "foodie" and LOVE/crave sweets. I'm not one who eats in tragedy or depression...i just like the taste & sensation of food. I always joke and say i'm going to join a foodies anonymous program, lol. BUt i seriously feel like i need to sometime :-) The thing is I don't really eat huge portions, but for me any portion minus daily exercise = weight gain. It's the chemical makeup of my body. And so it is a life-long struggle.

Married for seven years with two cats, teacher, runner, reader, chef

I am a 45 year old, urban city, elementary school teacher who had decided that enough is enough! I joined Weight Watchers almost 3 years ago and in 8 months I had lost @ 30 lbs. Although I monitored what I ate, I only moderately changed my eating habits. However, I did do a 30-45 min aerobic exercise video 5 days a week. Unfortunately, I forget what I did to get to that place. So as a result, I am back where I started, and am now starting again.

Love TV, Reading the Bible

I live and work at home as a grad student and freelance editor/writer. I work out regulalry, am very much in love, care for our cat and dog. Life is pretty good!

Im a mom of three that need to lose ten pounds from each pregnancy

I am a 40 something woman whose natural body size is petite. Ten years ago I developed a tummy and left the jeans and short t shirt club. A year ago I decided that I was sick of being 15 lbs overweight and joined the Y. After initial success I have actually gained 15lbs, so now I have to lose 30lbs. I was defeated until today. I believe I can do this. I want to lose weight because it will be an outward expression of a peaceful mind. One of my bad habits is to lose control and eat a handful of cookies and half a tub of ice cream. It's really just some weird greed or insecurity that it is time to drop. I wish everybody success in their endeavours. My room mate and I decided to buddy up in order to support one another in dropping sugar and dropping weight. I have been exploring the different programs and aspects of Peer training.
