Team Name: Tri to Fit into...
Members: 12
Location: ANY 20832

Goals: Achieving desired level of fitness through training for an asssortment of individual fitness events, 2-mi to full Iron Man, so that we can fit into that old pair of pants, a new bathing suit, an awesome tuxedo or bridesmaid dress, and feel proud of ourselves for feats of physical achievement that most people never bother to even try to accomplish.

Profile: Those welcome in this group range from college students to grandparents, as long as they contribute to each others' motivation, inspiration, confidence, positive outlook, and good humor, as they plan and train for participation in 2-milers, 5-ks, 10ks, half-marathons, sprint triathlons, Olympic triathlons, half Iron Mans, full Iron Mans, and bike races and swim meets in their local areas and around the globe. Hopefully some of us may be able to participate in some events together. We will support each other to reach fitness levles we once never felt possible. Through comittment and training for events, we also hope to shed our accumlated excess body fat and develop the tightest assets in the PeerTrainer universe.

Other Info: If anyone is planning to be in a specific event, please start a threat for it in the Community section of this team if there isn't one already, so people can see what everyone else is doing specifically outside of out logs, and provide targeted support, as well as alerts (such as when registration is open) and important information (equipment needed, maps, etc.).

Members profiles:
I am a 40 year old divorced mother of an awesome 17 year old girl! I have a totally boring desk job ~ but it pays the bills and I have the freedom to come and go, which is nice with a kid in sports. I like being active, but sometimes find it hard between my job, house work and family commitments to work out as much as I would like. I really love food ~ and am a really awesome cook (at least I seem to think so!!)...which can tend to be a problem! I also tend to eat out of boredom ~ see job description...that can also be a problem! I have always been fairly active ~ I spent a large part of my life working on ranches and other active jobs. I also used to race cars (dirt track) and would lose weight "wrenching" on them every night from May to September. But, as I have "retired" I don't have that big physical "jolt" in the summer like I used to have! I did do something that shocked the heck out of me last January (actually still kind of shocks me!) I took up running. To my great surprise, I actually like it! But, apparently, the more I run, the more I eat....so now it is time to get SERIOUS about the weight loss!!

i'm a school teacher, with PCOS. trying to loss weight to maintain a healthy lifestyle (AND conceive a child)

I am a 21 year old college student/athlete (I play softball for my school, but I really love running and cycling). My starting stats are 5'4" and 145 lbs. I've always been super active, but I eat soooo much that even though I'm pretty fit, no more than a couple pounds ever come off! I've done a bunch of races (running and triathlons) over the summer. I think my running would improve if I lost an extra 10-15 pounds and got a little more lean!

I am a 23 year old mother of 3. Ages 3, 4, and 6. I have been married for 6 years. With 3 kids I don't really get a chance to get out and exercise but am hoping to somehow squeeze it in. I am aiming to be able to run 2 miles and hoping it takes only 8 weeks. Then I can start full on training for the marathon.

18 years old, female in college, 5'6" 155 lbs, 26% body fat. Training for a triathlon and trying out for club soccer this fall. Want to be 140 and 20%BF

2010 was a year of ups and downs, mostly up in the weight category. Now 2011 is a new year and I'm making decisions to lose the weight and improve my health. I joined PT in August 08 shortly after turning 40. I turned 41 in summer of 09 and was in the best condition in both weight and fitness level in at least 12 years, that takes me back to when I was 29! I've been married for 19 years and have 4 children (17, 15, 8 and 3) and I want to be around for the next 40 years for my wife, children and grandchildren. I had a surge in fitness in 06-07 and completed a sprint triathlon in the spring of 07, lost some momentum and broke my ankle in the summer and lost ALL momentum. 2008 was not a good year but 2009 was a new year for a new me... I'm loving life, losing weight and fitting into smaller clothes!
