I am guilty of the freshman 15... I am starting my second semester of college but I definitely gained a lot of weight during my first few months of school. I am ready to lose it and start loving myself again.

Not 40 yet! I have been married 15 years and have a 3 year old son Brandon. I work F/T as a Christian counselor and love it! I am a part of Greenville Christian Mom's Group and love it!

I am 52 years old, married, work at a desk 10-12 hours per day

I’m 45 years old, 5’8” 169 lbs. At the beginning of 2007 I started a diet at 192 lbs. I figured out my BMR and reduced it by 500 calories so that I would be burning more calories than I was taking in every day, even without exercise (or getting out of bed). It was a good plan as long as I stuck to it, but I’m a food addict. If I give in to a bite, I eat the entire thing – whole box of cookies, entire pizza, whole chicken, etc. My goal for 2007 was to lose 60 lbs. I lost 40 but only kept off 20, although at the end of the holiday season I weighed in at 182... YIKES! The 10 holiday pounds came off pretty quickly, but I still started my losing track at that point.

I am a SAHM to a 7 yr. old, and twin 4 yr. old boys. I have been doing WW on and off for 3 years. I am down 41.6 pounds but had been down 74 at one point. I have been back on program for about two months now.

im a 26 yo female, i live in tampa, im currently working and taking classes.

I am a charming 40 year old woman with a loving, supportive husband, a beautiful 9 year old daughter and a slightly crazed rescued dog.

I am 41 with 3 children. I just had my 3rd child almost 5 months ago. My little man is awesome!

I'm a fun loving person and am excited to lose this weight so that I can continue to do the things I love as well as try some new ones...like good shopping!

I have recently graduated and am currently working as a supply teacher. I am very interested in fitness but can't seem to stick with anything for very long. I have struggled with my weight since high school but have never been very much over weight. I want to be able to get this weight off so its not something that I think about everyday.

I am a 21 year old college student. I've put on about 15 pounds every year since I started school which has brought me to a staggering 45 pound weight gain. I am ready to take it off. Plus, I am only 5'2" so being 185 lbs is not good at all.

Almost 40!! 1 awesome daughter and a great husband. Stay home mom who is way too involved in PTA.

38 yr old mom of 2 great kids!! I work part-time as a preschool teacher. My husband and I are working together to stay in shape. So far I've lost 70 lbs!!!!

I have only been a part of this Peertrainer community for 3.5 months. Please take my advice and remember it is okay to fall off the wagon just as long as you jump right back on. I'm a 41 year old male, married nearly 4 wonderful years with 3 beautiful children. This year I decided to make several lifestyle changes. I quit smoking and drinking alcohol. I cut out nearly all sodas, that's down from a 12-pack of regular soda a day. I workout 6 days a week and have lost 47 pounds this year. I had a major heart attack in 2003 and it left me with 6 stents in my heart and on ten different medications. I was really scared to do any activity. I was always worried about my heart. Then this year I said I'm going to go for it and I did. When I saw my cardiologist he was so happy and proud of me. He had been on me about that smoking since 2003, the weight loss was just a bonus. He was able to reduce some of my meds and the stress test came back fine. I have a few additional changes to complete this year and I'm on track to make it happen. I am proof that when you are ready, you can change. You can take control of your life and the things in it. No! It is not easy! It would be nearly impossible to go down this road alone. I thank you, my friends, for allowing me to come along on this journey with all of you.

26 year old female. I am not quite overweight, but I would really like to look a little more slim and toned, and be more comfortable with my body. I haven't been wearing a bikini to the beach for probably twelve years, and I think it's time I do it this summer.

I am a 21 year-old college student from Maryland. I am a sprinter/jumper on the track team. I would like to develop healthier eating habits and lose 10-15 lbs. I have gained 8 lbs this year (4 while trying to diet in the past 2 weeks!) and it has had a negative impact on my performance

I am a 28 year old lawyer. Since starting law school I have consistently been putin gon weight. IIt is frustrating because i have tried just about every workout plan, but I am horrible at the dieting.

50 "something" female, with hypothyroid condition since age 5. On synthroid for same. WT up and down all my life. Have hit the highest WT recently and tired of lugging it around with me.

I am 49 years old and headed for the big 50 this year. My goal is to loose about 30 pounds and keep it off for my middle age years. My main goal is to be healthy.

I am 28 years old. My husband and I are building a house and I am guilty of putting my health on hold during the house building process.

I've lost almost 30 pounds. ******UPDATE - I've lost almost 40 pounds! 165 to 126. Took almost 3 years. *** Feel free to read my daily notes for tips on using this site, and for other helpful ideas to help you with your weightloss and fitness journey. Let me know your thoughts!

I'm a 5'2", 25-year-old grad student. I don't have a lot of time and a bunch of diet restrictions (vegetarian, plus I can't eat tomatoes, potatoes, pepper, or eggplant), which makes dieting a working out a little difficult.

My name is Cindy, I am 38, I am a homemaker, I have two children, & I currently homeschool one of them. I have been married to the same man for 19 years. I am a Christian and believe there is only one way to we can have eternal life. I volunteer at my church and for a friend who just opened her own business.

I'm a 41-year-old part-time working mother of 3. (ages 18, 14, and 11) Been married for 15 years. I'm 5'2" and weigh about 130. I've been thinking about a tummy tuck and lipo, but can't really afford it. So, I'm going to give one last give-it-all-you-got shot before I resort to borrowing money for the surgery.

I'm a 21 year old nursing student from Missouri. I've been dieting since I can remember. I have always been a chubby kid and lets just say I was always the center of jokes. I did lost a lot of weight before my freshman year of high school but it was through a fad diet. I gained the weight back plus more. My freshman year of college I was diagnosed with PCOS and weighed 230 lbs. I have 40 lbs since then on my own and now I weigh 196 lbs. Now I am stuck because I have started to pick up my old eating habits. I want to win this long battle and just be in control of my life...instead of food.

I am 24 and having Lap Band surgery in a few months. I'd like to lose some weight before this surgery, so there is no risk of an engorged liver.

I lost 5 pounds within the last four weeks.

I'm a 20-year old student from Manitoba, Canada. I'm currently taking Nutrition in school and am interested in natural health. I have my ups and downs in eating right and exercising. I now how to do it, I just need the motivation and more knowledge. My BMI right now is 22.2.

I'm a 27yo single chick who is out of shape in the worst way! I work two jobs and have neglected myself for too long. I hope to one day become the person I use to be and live my life to the fulliest!!

I recently just completed my first year of college. I put on about 10 pounds. I am so eager to drop this weight!

I am a middle school counselor who lives in a small West Texas town. I grew up in a military family who traveled -- a lot. My husband and I settled in Texas and raised our kids here.

I'm a 19 yr old ivy league student struggling with depression/anxiety. This spring I am on medical leave from school so that I can take some time to get better, so I should have plenty of time to work on my weight, too. I live in new england and love going outside and being physically active; I used to run xc in high school.

I'm a 18 year old vegetarian student at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. I've been overweight my whole life and struggled through various eating disorders. So now I'm here to lose weight the healthy way and change my perspective on what a body should look like!

I am 41 147lbs. I love to be outside. I am a network engineer. Which I love but can stress me big time. I have a boy 16 track star and soccer and girl 14 amazing cheerleader, dancer, gymnastics. Great Husband of 18 years.

I'm in the reserves. I love to eat, but also enjoy pushing myself. I weighed 229 starting on monday, I'm now 230.

I'm a mom to four great kids. I work from my home right now but may be starting back to the outside workforce soon. Since I cook for our family, I find it easier to follow the Weight Watchers plan so I'm not cooking something different for me. I haven't been successful sticking to a plan for several years now. I'm planning on this being the key to my success.

I am a single mom working full time and trying to get to the gym in between running my kiddos to sports. I have been in pretty good shape but as I breeze past 35 and spend more time shuttleing kids around I have found it more and more difficult to keep it up.

25 y/o, female, 5'9-10, goal weight: 150-160, starting weight: 307

short/petite 24 year old. need to lose a solid 10 pounds (at least) to tone up and have a body to be proud of. I used to love working out but now it seems I have every excuse in the book not to go to the gym :( want to feel sexy and confident again!

I am 20 years old and studying biology at Indiana University.

In my early twenties, working, and married. I have an issue with binge eating on my cheat days and not knowing when to say no to cravings.

I'm 25, 5'4 and have neglected myself for far too long..so it's time to get in shape! I live an active lifestyle as I travel frequently and often live in remote locations as a missionary. I'm on leave in the US at the moment but will be returning overseas in October. I'd like to have lost weight by then!

I am a 32 yo LDS mom of 3 girls. 12,11 and 9. I have been ill for most of their life and between the medications and the poor exercise routine I have gained more than I needed to after giving birth to them. My husband and I both are doing this together and I am hoping with the right networking I get it off and keep it off.

I am 33 years old, and I have about 60 pounds to lose! I have been working out and counting calories since January 08. I have lost about 22 pounds so far. I still need to lose 60 pounds.

I am a mom of two little girls. I own a photography business and am self employed. I have a heart condition and thyroid problem which causes me to have a harder time losing weight than most people. I am currently in the process of losing my 100 weight goal by March 2012. My starting goal was 216 as of Jan 2011.

26 year old medical student. Always seem to be hovering around 140 pounds. Would be much happier and healthier at 125-130. 5'6" 140 pounds

I;m a 34 year old female, mother to a 17 year old. I surf 3x a weekI work out 4 to 5 times a week. Mostly cardio and stomach since surfing takes care of my upper body. I eat healthy and live a healthy lifestyle. During that 'special time' i do tend to over eat. this may be the extra 10 15 pounds.

I'm 22,   I moved to Dubai from the UK 8 months ago.  I was already in pretty bad shape,  but the life style out here has caused me to put on an additional 14 pounds since I've been here.  Once i get into a habit of working out i really enjoy it.  I like dancing, going out with friends, and generally having a good time.

I'm a 29 yo homeschooling mom of 3. I've been married for 8 years to the most wonderful man, ever. I love working out, which is a real shocker to me, since I used to HATE exercise. I also love sci-fi an am on a Battlestar Galacticia kick. ;)

I'm currently in my final semester of pursuing an undergraduate degree in Social Work. By the end of the day I'm usually just beat and lack the motivation to do the workout I know I need to attain my goal of toning up a bit!

I'm a 34 yo, single, hard-working HS teacher. Love Jesus, love worship, and love my job. Live in NY. Love walking and try to stay active. Love to laugh and make others laugh. I've worked out on and off all of my life and try to live a healthy lifestyle. My appetite is a little bit out of control, which is probably why I 've made it a point to work out.

I'm 33, mother of one, married. work full time, earning a Bachelor's degree.

I am 24 years old and weigh in at 128 at 5'4". My ideal weight would be about 120 lbs. I am generally active and aware of what i eat.

I am a busy working mother of two great kids and have been married for 14 years. My weight has gone up and down since the birth of my second child. Before my second pregnancy and before my weight was between 115-125. I don;t want to really get back to that exact weight but rather be more healthy, strong and toned. I was in a car wreck in October 2005 and had some severe soft tissue damage between my 1st and 6th vertebrae. I was unable to really move around for sever months and still struggle with chronic pain and limited movement in my neck. I can;t stand feeling helpless anymore and am ready to take charge and make a positive change in my life.

22 year old student in Sydney, Australia. Training to be a Group Fitness Instructor (almost there!) Need to 7kg in order to run marathon more efficiently

I am the founder of Philly Hypnosis. Using performance hypnosis and the science of NLP, my programs make it easier to lose weight. If you find it hard to enjoy eating foods that make you thin, stop eating when full, begin to move your body and feel wonderful, repeat sabotaging behavior, don't like your body, to stressed out to loose the belly fat, can't sleep well, not drinking enough water or any other mental thoughts and beliefs that keep you from doing what you want and succeeding, then consider giving me call. www.phillyhypnosis.com or directly at 215-361-9364

I'm 28, a woman, and recently completed graduate school. The stress of school and being in transition has left me 20lbs heavier than when I started, about 170 right now at 5'5. I have been lifting weights for 14 years and never stopped exercising, my diet has always been the trouble. I know plenty about healthy eating, just have trouble gauging and listening to hunger, and eating when I'm bored or stressed in the evening. I'm queer, in a relationship and am about to move, and have no idea where I'll land, or where my partner will land. I've always been independent in exercise and fitness, so I figured trying this out would help get me out of my shell a little.

I was an athelete throughout my whole life. I love the way I feel after a good workout. However, after having three kids and getting caught in the "no time for me" trap my body is not what I would like it to be. I want to get fit and stay fit.

I have drove truck with my husband for the last 14 yrs on and off which has mad me sad and locked up in the cab of a truck for a long time when i was young i was somewhat overwt nothing like after thou. i recently came off the truck and have a chance for a while to work on myself and some goals we both have for our future. i am looking for honest support here and pray i find it unlike the other times i have come home and had this chance and lost some wt just to have to go back on the truck i am not returning to the truck and hope to be more successful but am having a harder time this time lack of motivation unlike before.

I am 5"3 and weigh 210. I have just recently lost 4 pounds and ready to continue to lose more and find support from people who struggle with weight.

37, married, parent of 2 girls (4 & 1). Enjoy sports, movies, traveling & dining out.

33yr old, single woman. Work long hours - however I still manage to get a workout 5days a week. I am gluten intolerant so I'm stuck eating rice/tapioca based breads - trying to avoid them but once in a while I do miss my bread

I am a Med student. Im studying for my board exam. The Biggest challenge of MY life!

I'm 40, married 15 yrs. I have three kids -- 12, almost 9, and 5. I'm not working now, but will start a part-time teaching job in the fall. Youngest is in preschool, so I have him around most of the time.

I'm a college junior who didn't gain the freshman 15 but gained some weight my sophomore year. I'm on the track team, but eating more has caused me to gain more weight which is hindering my performance.

26, active female, living in NYC. For as long as I can remember, I've been overweight. Always a rollercoaster, but at two points in my life I was looking hot; age 15 and 20. My weight slowly increased to my heaviest point when I was 24. Now I'm 26, vegetarian, very active and down 40 lbs. Only 115 more to go!

I'm a 25 year old college grad that is in the worst shape of my life. I'm looking to lose weight, gain energy, and feel good about myself for once in my life. I want my confidence back!!

I am 26 yrs old, 5'10", and currently weigh 210 lbs. I am a former college volleyball player with two ACL replacements under my belt (one on each knee). I gained a lot of weight after my last surgery and am having trouble getting it off. I'm hoping that tae bo and running will help me to get back into shape and looking forward to my visits to the gym rather than dreading them. I'm starting pharmacy school in the fall and have had a real issue with finding the time to get out of the library and into the gym.

I'm 19 years old and I started out weighing 165 pounds. I would love to blame it on the "freshman 15" but I'm a JUNIOR in college now! I'm 5'7" with a medium frame so theoretically I should weigh between 135 and 150 pounds. I don't completely base everything just on the weight because I am aware that muscle weighs more than fat.

The concern I have for my health/weight is magnified by my family history. Of course I want to look good (who doesn't?), but my health is more important to me than my looks.

I am 32yoa and have been married for almost 6 years. We have no children and both of us are self-employed. I feel like I have about 50lbs to lose, but can't seem to make myself set time aside for exercise. However, being that I run my own business - actually two - it isn't like I can stop at the park on my way home from work and go for a walk. I have to make myself stop what I am doing to do it and I never seem to get to that point until 11pm and then I feel bad that I didn't get any exercise, yet again. I love to eat and know what is right to eat, however it takes more effort to do that than it does to grab something quick. My goal is to lose to a size 8, but look like good enough to be on the front of Oxygen Mag. I too saw this in People and thought I would give it a try.

I'm a full time mum to a little boy of 3 and a little girl of two. My daughter has a wheat allergy and my son goes do lallay on additives so have my hands full with lots of cooking all helping to build and unhealthy obsession with food

I am 31 years old and the mother of 3 children, 2 girls ages 5, 3, and and a boy, 6 months. I have been active all my life and I love sports and fitness. I have a degree in Exercise Science and I am a fitness trainer at our local YMCA part time. This is the first time in my life I have really struggled losing weight, so I need all the help I can get!

I'm a 28 year old graduate student working towards my PhD. School and teaching responsibiliteis take up a lot of time and mental energy, but I still have time for occational fun. Last year I managed to loose 25 pounds, then it was time for my orals... It all came back. Since the beginning of fall I've lost just over 20 pounds, and gained 8 back. I'm single, but I live with my wonderful boyfriend of 5 years, who is very supportive.

I'm 23 and work 8-5 for a software company and a floral designer on the weekends. I enjoy biking and hiking...love anything outside. I currently weight 145. My highest weight was 155 which was around Christmas.

Im 21, I had to take a medication for 6 months that made me gain 15 lbs in the last 3 months of it. I am now off it and am looking to shed the extra pounds.

I am a senior in college studying graphic design. As of yesterday 6-6-08 I weigh 124lbs. It's summer and I have the time to work out, I just don't want to get lazy about it. During the school semesters it is very hard to keep up the workout because I don't have much time to do so.

I had lost 60lbs when participating in a bootcamp, my head got too big, and thought it's ok to eat some bad foods sometimes. Well, the unhealthy foods added up and I went from 139 and 21% bodyfat to presently 177 and 34.8% body fat. I don't have a trainer anymore or no one to hold me accountable. Can't do bootcamps due to injuries. So, I am having problems with losing weight consistently. It's frustrating because I was a personal trainer and quit because I wasn't practicing what I was preaching. I want my weight to be gone. My problems are emotional eating, binge eating, no moderation, and inconsistency.

I am 27 year old recent lawschool graduate. I am proud of many things in my life buy my weight is NOT one of them. I am studying for the bar this summer and am trying to focus on healthy eating and exercise. Come August I want to weight 18lbs less than I do now and come January 1st, 2009 I want to celebrate my extreme makeover (inside and out).

I only have 15 lbs to lose, but every pound for me is a struggle. I hope to make a change in my lifestyle through fitness that will last through out my entire life. I will be starting college this year and would love a fresh start free from self conciousness.

Am a Mum of 2 kids under 6 & 8. I've been married for 10 years. Both kids are in school now and its a bit more my time. I enjoy sport/reading/wine and trying to like food less...

31 years old. Married for two years.

want to do triathlons again. want to do IM fast. want to be fit. want to be healthy.

Mom, social activist, grad student, RN. Love doing everything outdoors, from walking the dog to biking to canoing to hiking to skiing!

I am sahm with a loving hubby and one extremely active son. I am one project away from my master in computer science, and one of these day, I am going to finish it. My son has been diagnosed with mild Asperger, so my days have been spent on trying to help my son be confident with himself. Through this, I find myself interested in creating educational programs and systems to help other kids to learn to love learning as well. Most days my time is spent creating and tweaking software game and program, to make sure that it not only increases children attention but also their retention rate.

I am 37 married and have two beautiful twin boys (2yr). My husband and I both work fulltime.

My name is Stephanie and I am in my last year of college. I love the outdoors and am constantly out hiking and exploring new places. While I lead the active lifestyle I want, my eating is out of control. Sometimes I feel like my weight holds me back from doing certain activities.

I'm 45 years old. I don't love to excercise. I feel like I need to lose weight before I start to excercise in public! LOL...crazy right?

Hi, my name is April and I am 31 years old. I have a wonderful husband and 2 great kids. I am wanting to lose around 25 lbs total to be around 120/125. I have tried diet after diet with short success, then back to my old routine. Hopefully this summer will be my summer to get it right!!!

i'm 26 years old and live in dublin, ireland. i have a 9 year old son called Jordan, a dog and 4 cats and i have my own florist business. i always weighed 10 stone (give or take a pound or two!), but about 18 months ago, i gave up smoking and became a vegetarian and have put on nearly 2 stone!!!! i didn't even really notice it going on, but i cant fit in my true religions anymore :( anyway, i started my new dit and exercise routine last monday, so this is day 9 complete! :)

I'm going to be a sophomore in college this fall, and I want to spend these last two months of summer preparing my body, mind, and spirit. My freshman year I fell prey to the freshman fifteen (plus 5 more pounds) even though I exercised every day with the rowing team. I have already lost 10 pounds since April, and I'm hoping that by joining peertrainer, I can find that extra motivation to stick to my diet and speed up my weight loss.

I am 48 years old, a performing arts teacher and mom to a 9 year old girl wonder. I I got to work out much more before motherhood and have a good foundation of healthy eating habits. Still, I tend to gain about ten lbs every three years or so and then I try to whip myself back into shape. I'm midway through the whipping now. I've gone from 145 to 138 lbs over the past month and would like to get down to between 130 and 133.

I'm 21.. and I've always been overweight. I've had a hard time losing weight in the past. Last year I lost 16 pounds to Weight Watchers and gained it all back. Now, I have been losing weight since June 16th and hope to reach my goal. I love to design, relax, read, cook, and hang out with friends. I love food and trying all different kinds-- not always a good thing!! I'm a full-time college student and will be graduating May 2009 from RIT.

I am a 6th grade science teacher. I have a wonderful husband of 20 years and an amazing 16 year old daughter. I love to be outside and read!

I am twenty years old and a student at UMass Ameherst studying nutrition. I love working out but I also love food.

I'm getting ready to go back to college and I'm trying to get into shape again. I've gained 10 lbs after I had lost 20, so I'm back tracking. I hope Peer Training will give me the support I need!

Singer / Songwriter who loves to cook.

5ft 7 164lbs. I am a senior in college Political Science major, Industrial Psychology & Perform Arts minor, who wants to move to the West Coast when i graduate.

i'm 16, and before i was just concerned with how i looked. now i'm close to being able to be worried about my health. depression is the main reason of my insomnia, leading to the excessive amount of weight i've gained. i'm working to get it off now...and it's hard...hence why i'm seeking support, not getting much at home :/

I'm 51, and I have four grown children. I am not a big person I tend to game weight around my mid-section which is hard to get rid of. I sit at a computer most of the day all week long. I would like to start me a homebase business, so when time for me to retire from this 8-4:30 job, I can supplement what ever kind of income I will have at that time with working from home.

I'm a 24 year old IT Project Manager... and I spend 80% of my time in front of the computer at work and at home (catching up on my gossips!). I enjoy it but it's taking a toll on my body! Recently enrolled in a gym and hope to change all that - preferably before the next vacay :) I have a personal trainer, but only have 3 sessions left (once a week).

I am a 34 yr old mommy, who decided to do it on her own, of a 4.5 yr old little girl. I feel at this time, I am finally coming into my own, and opening myself up to new options in life. I have gone through some hardships that have taught me a lot, and makes me more appreciative of the smaller thing is life. Weight issues, have been a part of my life since I was a teenager. I am coming to realize that this will be something I will need to deal with on a daily basis, just as someone who has any other type of addiction.

26 years old, and falling victim to the pitfalls of a desk job.

I'm 22, 4'10ish and currently 157lbs.

I'm a 48-year old wife and mother of two trying to lose 10 - 15 pounds. I exercise regularly, know how to eat, but simply don't do enough of the right stuff to accomplish my goals. I hope that writing it all down within a community of people who have similar goals will make my path clear and give me the motivation I need.

I'm 29 years old, 5'9" (although sometimes I'm more like 5'10"). I'm married to a wonderful guy, and have 3 kitties. I enjoy going out, watching cartoons (I'm a kid at heart), and working out. I do suffer from depression, and working out, eating healthy, and losing weight really help me overcome it. That's why it's so important for me to succeed.

24, turning 25 August 17th. I want to get back into a health routine. I run half marathons, and I want to get back to my weight I was a year ago of 155. I have since gained all fo the weight I had lost since I graduated college. I need motivation, and I need to find willpower when it comes to food.

I am a 33 yr old mother of two. I am homeschooling my boys this year which should give me more time to focus on getting in shape without going out to work. I love to read, write, art, scrapbooking and getting outside.

I am a 27 year old woman. I am a PhD student and am trying to finish my dissertation in the next 6 months while also working full time. I was thin as a child and teenager, but have slowly put on weight through college and graduate school. Finishing my PhD will be an amazing accomplishment, but would mean so much more to me if I could also finish it without being 60+ pounds heavier than I was in high school!

I am a 56-year-old woman who wants to keep the weight off I have lost through WeightWatchers and get on track with working out.

I'm 24 years old in the property management industry in Miami. I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism at the age of 12. Around the age of 20 I noticed I was haveing small problems with my weight. I went from 105 - 145 in about 2 years! I'm currently down to 136 and looking to loose about 21lbs and get back into my dancers body. I don't care so much about the number as I do body fat percentage and clothes size. I don't eat what most people would consider junk food. My weekness is Kellogs special kay. I try and only eat organic and i run on the elliptical 1-1 1/2 hours 4 miles everyday.

I am a college student pursuing a major in medical sonography. I have always been real athlletic and involved in dancing. But in 2005 I went off to a University 5 hours from home in the middle of no where. I started to have problems. The second semster of my freshman year I was having family problems and I was unhappy and depressed at school. I gained around 45-65 pounds in a month. But I left that school and came home and started going to a local college since then My life is slowly but surely comming together. I lost 40-45 pounds on weight watchers. But I stopped doing weight watchers and tried just exercising but that doesnt work because my weight fluxuates. If I stop exercising for more then a week I gain all that I had lost back. So I am going to do Weight Watchers again combined with exercise to get to my goal weight.

I am a 23 year old college student. I have always had a little extra weight even when I was a very serious swimmer in high school. I was 175 at my heaviest and I am half way to my goal of 140. I have maintained a regular schedule of exercising and eating well during the summer, but I am afraid that I will start to slip with the new semester. I have just started running, completely changed my diet and have lost 13 pounds in the last two months. I would love to lose another 15-20 pounds and look good for graduation next May. I would also love to celebrate with a half (maybe even a full) marathon.

I am 21 yrs old nursing student. I was fat all my life. Faced bullying and ended up starving myself to lose weight. although i did lose some weight but i burnt up my body. I joined gym in july 2008. As a result i started eating more and ended up gaining weight.

I am 34 (35 in September) No kids, Engaged and struggling with weight for a lifetime (yoyoing from my early 20s from 140lbs to my heaviest at my present weight 230lbs. From 29-32 i was at my healthiest ever in my life. I was a gym enthusiast working out everyday, and loving it!! 2 years ago I just stopped, cant even remember why or how..i had started travelling more, and going out more..and slowly letting go of the gym, until i completely stopped, and ever since gained over 60 pounds and I have not been able to get back in line. The heavier i have been getting, the more discouraged and unmotivated I get and the more i would eat! ! :( To add to my weight situation I also have chronic lower back pain, which since my weight gain has gotten MUCH worse. And unfortunately not treatable since its an arthritic pain, and dicopathy,so I need to lose weight to hopefully releive some of that pain and working out as I used to is OUT OF THE QUESTION as it could do more harm. I need to do low impact workouts now and really focus on my diet. Anyhow..i am joining this group, for motivation and to stay focused. I hope it helps and that I can stick with it this time! :)

I'm 36 and can't wait to lose the baby weight from #2. I am SO ready to get my body back. I can't remember the last time I actually wrote anything, but I consider myself a writer.

I'm a busy person. I'm in University and I work. I'm 26 years old. I been trying to lose weight since I was 22 years old (this is when I started to gain weight) I have no idea how I let myself go may be some depressions here and there, but it belongs to the past... today I can do it, I believe in me, and I'm tired of going shopping and not finding anything nice to wear. Last week, I started to do weight watchers... little by little I know I will do it!

I work for the Fairfax County Government. Sit down job terrible for me because it makes me hungry when I have to process the work that is on my desk. I love to exercise I just need to make a difference...to see some results.

I am a 34 year old full-time working Mom. I have a 2 year old. I put on almost 40 pounds during pregancy but never lost the pregnancy pounds.

I am 26 years old and working as an interior designer in a small firm. For most of my life I have been fairly athletic thanks to 12 years of ballet, 3 of cheerleading and 2 of danceteam. When I made a huge move for school, I left behind all my friends and apparently my happiness. Once I began a fairly intensive 5-year architecture program I left behind my normal weight of 125lbs and started packing on the pounds and learned a whole bunch of extremely unhealthy eating/coping habits. Now I am out of school and I need to face this issue, gain back my health and maybe even get to the point where I feel comfortable joining a dance class once again.

Baby boomer living in the Carolinas. Moved from Indy 3 1/2 years ago. Absolutely love life and the Carolinas, but my weight inhibits me a bit. I currently weigh 178 and am only 5'2". I would like to shed the extra pounds and start to feel better about myself. My husband and I enjoy volunteer work. We have done quite a bit since our move away from our families. I also love gardening.

I am 21 years old. I work, live and go to school in New York City. Stress is inevitable when living in NYC. In order to manage stress levels, I want to implement a plan that consists of healthy eating and exercise. Let's hope for the best!

I am 18 years old. two years ago I was approx 48kg and a size 8 I am now around 62kgs and my stomach & thighs have got a lot bigger since then which I am very self conscious about.

22 year old paralegal, just moved to Paris last spring, and have had difficulty adjusting to life here, the patisseries were oh so tempting and cooking is not something I've ever learned to do beyond salads and the microwave, resulting in being broke and 5 pounds overweight from eating out too much.

I`m 38 years old, My current weight is 215 pounds,5`3feet I have one child,I`m working in retail .

I am not new to the weight loss, nutrition, and workout game. I have done numeros races the longest: 2 half-marathons. The lowest weight I have been is 123lbs. Unrealistic for me to get so low again. My goal is between 133-135 (the weight I was when before I had my son). I am a working Mom of a 22 month old. Ever since my son was born I have had trouble losing and maintainig weight. I gained 40 lbs with him and have lost 30lbs of it. 10 more or so to go!!!! I enjoy exercise, but am having a hard time fitting running into my busy days. I eat way to much!! I love food!

After having my third child in December of 2004 I was at my all time heaviest weight of 225. I think pure disgust was the catalyst that started me on a healthier path. I have since lost 80 pounds. In the last year I have gained back about 15 lbs. Time to make some changes again. I turned 30 in July. I hope to be at my ideal wieght next time the b-day rolls around.

I am a country girl and have lived in NC all my life, I love the beaches here. I am attending college working on obtaining my bachelors degree in Business. I'm currently looking for work, so I have plenty of time to dedicate to pt and working out when I'm not doing online courses.

21 yrs old; college student former varsity athlete; still very involved in athletics (coaching + administration) work out a lot: strength training/conditioning 4x a week; masters swimming ideally 4+ days a week; long bike ride to work! former binge eater. can't say am completely recovered. still have times when i eat mindlessly. better than before. but still struggling to eat well.

I am a 25 year old compliance analyst (its what I do not who I am, pays the bills) who has been waaaayy...overweight for far too long. Soooo...I have now set out a plan to get out the BIG GUNS and win the war! I'm throwin BOMBS out the LAMBOS (thanks David Banner.)

recently graduated. gained 50 lbs in college. quite happy with losing any of it. I hate my body.

I'm 30 years old and a mother of 4 children, 7, 4,3,2 years old. I work from home so things are always quite crazy in my house. I'm bad at managing my time and realize that if I actually did what I was supposed to do, things would get done. Last year I went down to 126 before my husband got home from Iraq, however, I soon jumped up to 143 after a while. I'm ok with that because I was too thin before and now I have something to work with. I'm a determined person but for some reason I've been having trouble getting back on track with a workout routine. I try and try but I can't stay on it. I'm a MAJOR sugar addict and have binges about once a week and that is controlling it. But I'm done with talking about it and ready to do something about it.

I am a 36 year old wife and SAHM of a 2-year old and a 10 year old. I am also, and foremost, a Christian who loves Christ Jesus and seeks to glorify Him in spirit and in body. Visit my blog at: http://pro31woman.blogspot.com

I am a huge horseback rider and it is hard to ride when I am not in shape. I barrel race! I want to train performance horses and riding in many disciplines will make me a better rider and trainer. I put on a lot of weight in college, lost some of it, and then got pregnant.

I am a person who sits at a desk all day. I used to be this person. Now, I am a person that exercises everyday.

I enjoy working out, playing with my puppy, and I am a full time college student.

I just turned 30, and am the heaviest I have ever been. Ever since college my weight has fluxuated and now it just keeps getting higher. I look at old pictures and wonder where that pretty girl went. I know my weight ha nothing to do with what is on the inside, but I feel like a different person than I did when I was thin. Gaining the weight also brought on a complete loss of self-confidence. I don't even enjoy being social anymore for the constant fear of people judging me about my weight. I just want the old me back!

I'm a 22 year old nursing student. I have rheumatoid arthritis. I was diagnosed at age 15. I want to live a healthier lifestyle. I'm getting it together day by day.

I have come a long way from the 240 lbs. I used to way from 1996-2001. I lost it all on my own by getting my life in order and working from there. The last 2 years have been hectic with work and my workouts have not been the same.

I'm 23 years old. I work for a consulting firm in Manhattan and am planning to go back to school Fall 2009 to begin a Master's program.

I am just entering my 20s and want to start off with a bang. I would like to look better now than i did when i was in my late teens.

I am 24 years old and just started a job at a new accounting firm. I am studying for the CPA exams which takes up a lot of my time. I like to run and bike, but need to do it more often. High Cholesterol and Heart Disease run in my family and I do not want to become a victim. My Grandma, my mom, a few uncles and I all have high cholesterol. They are on medication and I am trying to control it by diet and exercise and under doctor supervision as I am so young. My mom had quadruple bypass surgery, along with a valve replace and her arota fixed back in March. I also found out one of her uncles had his first heart attack at age 24. I do not want to be have these problems and want to live a long healty life.

I'm 53 years old. I am happily divorced and the mom of two great young professionals, 23 and 26. I posted before and after pics to show you how far I have fallen in my tumble into chubb!! The goal is to get back to "before" and never leave that fiercely fit female behind again! I'm a lawyer doing discovery review. It sounds exciting, but it's sitting behind a computer screen anywhere from 50-80 hours a week for weeks, sometimes months at a time. I am on a hiatus after 8 grueling 80 hour weeks. I was not surprised, I was stunned to step on the scale at over 153 pounds. I got a few off in the last two weeks, but 148 is still 35 more than I ever want to weigh again. While I'm hanging out waiting for the next gig, I want to get my house and life in order. I need a plan and some help so I can stay focused and not give in to the temptations the bosses bring in like donuts, catered lunches and dinners, with big fudge brownies for dessert.

About me... hmm.. I ROCK! I am fun to be around, have a great sense of humor, I am the life of the party, heck, I AM the party! I love everything about life, music, food, food, food, laughter, sex, jokes, hard work, sweat, reading, being with my family and friends, dancing, singing in the shower, and so much more. I am 31, mother of 2 awesome daughters, wife of the best husband ever (for 13 years). I have been fat as long as I can remember, though as I look back I wasn't always as fat as I thought I was. I believe my highest weight was 378 about 5 years ago. In Dec of 2006 I had the lap-band surgery and went from 368 to 228. During that time I picked up smoking and then tried to quit. Quitting smoking, bad habits sneaking up, amongst other things (emotions) has led me to putting pounds back on. I am at 292, struggling not to break 300 again! I have never lost and then gained weight before and I have to say, I am heartbroken.
