24 year old chicklet struggling with weight loss while a full time master's student (in elementary education) at Arcadia University, working part-time (32 hours) at Advanta Bank and planning my wedding on August 25th! Needless to say, I need LESS stress in my life, not more, but I feel that finally getting control of my weight will be much less of a stress!

I am an active person in an inactive job. I love rock climbing, hiking and playing field hockey. I miss my yoga class in Baltimore, now that I have moved to DC. Currently, my butt is working on molding itself into the shape of an office desk chair. Oh, and I am getting married in the fall at the beach!

I'm a 28 year old father and husband. My wife is a stay-at-home mom and I work in the computer industry. Of course, I sit around all day at work and then go home. While my kid keeps me up and about, she doesn't really keep me toned (she's only 2) so while I haven't been busting at the seems of my clothes yet, I feel flabby, loose and lethargic.

I'm an almost 42yo wife and mother of 2 who homeschools and runs a small business. I've been inactive most of my life, am fairly uncoordinated, and never did well in P.E. I'm 5'5'', small boned and even though I weigh only135lbs, I have lots of fat in my mid-section and tops of thighs. I never weighed more than 110lbs. in high school and college due to my build, but ate constantly whatever I wanted. 10 years ago, weight started creeping up and I began to look really out of shape. It's only gotten worse from there.

I'm 22 years old....and out of shape! I gained almost 20 pounds in college, and then some more once I started working full time. I've started to develop more healthy eating habits (no binging, no junk) and I especially want to improve my cardiovascular health. I'm starting to run, and I plan on running a 5k sometime this year!

I'm a 27 year old environmental specialist in Lake Tahoe. I need some motivation to get fit enough to enjoy all the fun activities Tahoe has to offer.

I am a 26 year old professional trying to get used to the twenty-something metabolism.

I am 44 male from the Midwest. Like almost all of the men on our side of the family, I am over weight. My wife and I are constanly discussing losing weight and I want to try to get past the constant worry about being over weight. The men in my familty all have heart problems (not me...yet) and we have a precious 5 year old girl that I want to be around a long time for. So it's time fo me, for several reasons to get serious about leading a more healthy lifestyle. I work an office job and that was the instant gain of 15 lbs. I have sleep apnia and I am told that if I lose the weight it may limit the amount of apneas i have.

working on weightwatchers and trying to learn how to exercise and be active inbetween a full school and work schedual and not go insane.

I'm 29, 230 lbs and about 6' tall. I know 50lbs sounds like a lot but I figure my dad is 6'1" and he only weighs about 170 lbs so it is possible for me to do. He has been a runner all his life and I ran cross country in High School but then started smoking and lost all of my motivation to run. I'm now married with 2 beautiful girls that take a lot of time, plus my own business I run while still working a full time job. I figure now is the time to start getting back into shape before it gets any worse.

Hi, I am a married 37 yr. old working mom of 2 boys ages 8 and 4. I work in a dental office 3 days a week. I live in Vancouver Washington. I am struggling to keep my weight under control due to my emotional eating. I would like to lose 20 pounds.

Married f/t Educational Asst. with one silly 6 yr old daughter. (She is dancing for me as I am typing). I want to be healthier for my daughter, be an example to my hubby, and enjoy my life to the fullest! I lost 27 lbs since last Aug. I quit smoking last March. I am slowly becoming the person I want to be. I have reached a plateau and need to do something different. I am going to try the Fat Smash Diet. I ordered the book but will not arrive until the 16th. I know I can start now with fruits, veggies, and the basics. I am starting now. I feel like now is as good a time as any.

I am a 31 year old working mom with 2 young kids. My husband and I both work full time so finding time to eat right and exercise is a huge challenge! I am guilty of eating when I'm bored and eating when I'm depressed. I need to learn to recognize my triggers and not give in to that temptation.

I'm a 23 year old college graduate.

I am 53 single and looking to get back into shape so I will stop sitting around and start finding friends and hopefully a life partner.

I'm a 45 year old stay-at-home mom with 2 sons.

I am 25 years old and going back to school in Fall to get my masters in Education. I am going to the doctor tomorrow for my first physical in about 8 years (I know, I know, verrrry bad) and I am terrified to hear what he will say. I know my BMI is way too high and I am probably very close to developing type 2 diabetes if I dont shape up... pun intended.

41 years old divorced female. I have gained 23 pounds over the last 3 years and want to lose it!!!!

I am a 44 year old female. I am married and have two daughters 11 and 15. I work full time as an accountant, and have a very busy lifestyle. I love the beach, traveling and being with friends.

I am a 36 year old proud mother of three beautiful children. The twins are 14 and my youngest just turned twelve. I didn't gain my weight until about 3 years ago. I had a hemorrage in my brain, was hospitalized and from there on I started gaining. I have a good job, which I love very much ( I work in a chilren's hospital) and have a wonderful live in partner who is also a great step dad to my kids. We do have our fights but over all things have improved over the last year. ummm, what else....I am 5'5'' and weigh 180 pounds and am usually a very happy person. ( we all have our moments.) What I am lacking on is motivation. I make up all kinds of excuses from " I don't have time, I am too tired" and my favorite " I'll start my diet next week"

Single 32 year old mom of two beautiful girls 10 and 12. Working full time, going to school at night and trying to have a life. I have a tremendous amount of stress in my life and I plan to change my crutch from eating to exercising.

College student.

26 year old single mother of an 8 yr. old boy. I currently work in an office for an appraisal management company, so I am not very active during the day. I've taken prescription weight loss medication in the past and I lost 50 lbs. but have gained almost all of it back since I am no longer taking it. No special event coming up, but I would like to start dating again!

I have tried many different things to become more comfortable with my weight. I've been heavy since I was little, except for a few years during college. A crazy schedule working at a studio, and a wonderful boyfriend who loves to cook elaborate meals make dieting and exercise difficult. I want to get my weight under control once and for all! I know that getting help from others would make a big difference.

Happily married, three cats who are treated better than most kids, self-employed,

I'm Kim. I'm twenty one years old and currently living in a small town in Pennsylvania where I go to college. I'm a psychology major with a minor in philosophy and I'm finishing up my second year. I'm originally from Pittsburgh and I absolutely love any metropolitan area, although Philly and NYC are my favorites. I love to just wander around and see what I find. I spend most of my time reading(memoirs mostly), listening to music(kindof pop-punkish and alternative, I guess), hanging out with friends, shopping, and learning things I'll never need to know.

I'm 31 years old. I've always been very active - athletic. But now I'm noticing that my metabolism is SLOOOOW. I need to reduce my calorie intake.

I am in my early 30s and single. I have lost about 25 pounds in the past year and a half and am now ready to lose the rest.

45 years old professional and part-time student. I am learning to add different exercise to my life routine so that I don't have to rely on the treadmill at the gym

I'm am EMT in Central Florida. I live with my fiance and my dog Frankie.

I am a 26 year old woman who has recently ballooned to 150 pounds after having major jaw surgery in December (132 lbs, when I went in for the surgery). I am a flight attendant and struggle to eat right on the road!

I am a stay at home mom of two boys (ages 2 and 4). It's hard for me to find time to workout. I have started going at 6AM, three days a week. That way, my husband is home to watch them if they wake up. But normally, they get up at 7AM.

I am a 30 yr. old teacher, perpetually single and frustrated.

Female 44yo , successful in business (finance & retriement planning) and real estate

I am 38 years old and a mother of four. I live in Oregon. I had never been very dedicated to getting fit before. But, I decided that I didn't like having no energy and not being able to fit into my clothes anymore. I have just started changing the way I eat. I have been counting calories and making better food choices.

I am a 23 year old single mom from British Columbia Canada. I decided to try and lose some weight in April 2007 after looking at some pretty horiffic pictures of myself. I have lost 25lbs so far, and i hope to lose another 30.

I'm a college student, and I gained about 30-40 pounds in a year because I was going through a difficult time in my life. I've lost about 15 pounds of that weight over the past year, but need to get the rest of it off. I sometimes run, but struggle when it comes to committing to a diet and exercise program. I'm hoping Peertrainer will allow me to monitor my progress without feeling trapped or stuck.

I am married with three children at home. I have a 7, 5, and 2 year old. I have been teaching 6th grade for four years. I have been making excuses for too long and am ready to get fit!

I am a 35 year old mom who wants to get her groove back. In addition to my hubby, I have my two children, a 16 year old daughter and a 6 year old son. I am 5’5” and currently 150 pounds. I would like to see 135 again. I have been running using Couch Potato to 5K in Eight Weeks Podcast. I am on week three and loving it. I have been more motivated to exercise and want to keep it going.

I'm 30 yrs old. I lost over 45lbs several years ago on Weight Watchers but have struggled with reaching my true goal over the last two years. I follow the Points system, but haven't been able to "buckle down". I struggle with emotional eating and need to follow a gluten and dairy free diet. I love to exercise, but my career often doesn't allow enough time in my day!

hello all i am a 22 year old who is tired of being uncomfortable in her own body. my goal is to simply feel comfortable in a bathing suit or whatever it is i am wearing. i don't really care what my end wait is but i do care about the way the way that i feel with myself.

I'm a 30 year old married mother of a 2 year old, who has been leading a sedentary lifestyle for a few years, and it shows! I want to return to my love of life, and that means that I must treat myself better, and honor my yearning to be fit. I work part time as a hospital social worker on the weekends, and have 5 days home with my daughter. I have a supportive husband who puts my daughter to bed so I can do my nightly walk. I have recently joined a gym free of charge by signing up to work in the childcare nursery for 2 hours a week. I now have access to a gym whenever I need it. I recently saw Bob Greene on Oprah, and since seeing that show my life has changed for the better!

I am married with a 4-year old daughter. I struggle with depression and emotional eating. I want to eat healthier and exercise to be the best me I can be, for myself and my family.

I teach Middle School Science, I am a gymnastics coach and judge, and at my school I coach volleyball, cheerleading, and track.

I am a 30 year old Australian girl currently residing in New York. I live with my boyfriend and I work as an accountant . I have a gym in my building so I really have no excuse not to be in shape other than lack of motivation. I also love to cook and my boyfriend and I go out for dinner at least 3 times a week, which makes it very difficult to stick to a diet.

I am 36 years old. Married with three small children. I am 6'4 and weight 310 pounds

I am a 21 year old with a 7 month old baby girl. I am currently in the military and going to school full time. I am recently sepertaed from my husband, so now I am a single mother.

30 yr old married engineer. No biological children. I was never a thin person. I'm 5'4 and used to be what you would call chunky. Didn't mind my weight though because I thought I carried it well. My smallest was in HS when I was a size 8/10.My weight crept up in college due to my study habits. My largest was several months ago when I weighed 255. I was up to a size 22/24. Due to personal stress and what I think was a near breakdown, I vowed to put me first and start caring about me. Once I made that commitment, it was a cakewalk getting started. I was mainly doing it for my emotional and mental health, but then weight started to come off and I started feeling/looking better.

I'm from San Francisco but living in the UK for another year with my Brit husband. I have been a vegetarian for almost a year and I cook all my own food. I want to get rid of my extra pounds I put on over the last 2 years! I want to feel better about myself and fit into my size 6's again. I want to stick with working out instead of falling off track again.

i'm 17, play 4 sports, weigh 160 pounds and am just really unhappy with the way i look and eat. i tend to go through periods of not eating very much, then eating pretty much anything. for about 3 months last year i was able to stick to a 1500 calorie diet and lost like 20 pounds, but now i cannot seem to get back on track at all. i always think, okay tomorrow i'll start my diet, so today i'll just eat whatever i want since i'm getting serious tomorrow..which has definetly made me gain more weight than lose weight

35 year old, administrative assistant, start grad school in September, would like to lose about 80 lbs. My new laptop arrives 7/12/07. Can't wait.

36 | Female | Married-No Kids | Marketer | Poet | Writer | Editor | Geek | Gamer | Foodie | Bibliophile | Oenephile.

I'm a gregarious, wordy sort of girl who likes meeting new people. As a writer and marketer, my lifestyle is somewhat sedentary so I want to become more active. I already eat fairly healthy but it would be good to talk with others who understand why I'm not keen on Splenda or 100 calorie packs to get where I'm going. For me it's about eating the best types of food to keep me healthy. There is a strong family history of heart disease and my 64 year old father recently underwent a 6-way bypass surgery--I don't want that to be me in a few years.

I also have made a choice to not weigh on a frequent basis. After a great deal of personal reflection, I realized that I have come to define who I am by a number on the scale...where I am now and where I have never been able to reach. It has wreaked havoc with me emotionally and ironically probably pushed me to higher weights overall as I have struggled and yo-yo'd on my weight over the years. Instead I will only be weighing once a month or possibly every two months, and instead tracking success by my diligence with diaries, dropping clothing sizes, etc.

I am a happily, recent, retired woman excited to be able to do some fun activities now that I have time to focus.

I'm 27. I have 25 more lbs to lose for a 100 lb weight loss so I want to get that first. Then maybe 10ish more - we'll see. I lost most of the weight from 2000-2003 and have been back and forth with the current 5ish lbs for nearly 4 years. Little downward progress in 4 years is frustrating but maintaining it is an accomplishment and I never stopped trying or working out. Something recently in me has changed and I really believe I can achieve my goals. I recently broke into a number I haven't seen in a while. :) It is awesome. I currently work out 5 times a week, mixing cardio and weight training. I keep track of calories, fat, carbs, protein in an excel doc and have recently added in counting Weight Watchers points. It's easy to do at work and I'm trying to get better about sticking with it through the weekends.

I'm 21, i live in chilliwack, BC. I'm engaged to a wonderful caring man. I just finished cooking school and taking some time off to de stress and take care of myself. I've lived all over canada. I'm into family, friends, movies, my native culture and so much more.

I AM 32 YEAR OLD MOM OF TWO. i AM 5'4 AND WEIGHT 150 LBS I WOULD LIKE TO BE AROUND 130 LBS.

I'm a big hearted goofball. I write, paint, play guitar, love the outdoors and taking my dog Cooper to the park. I also love traveling, sailing and work. It's true, i love my job!

36 year old night shift trauma nurse. 2 kids 3 & 6 years old. Just started graduate school.

I am an almost 35 yr old female (birthday Monday) and weigh approx. 46 pounds (5'5")....which is the heaviest I have ever been.

I have struggled with weight most of my life. At my highest weight, I was 260 pounds. I had a modified version of standard weight loss surgery. The modification is that the surgery only changed my stomach size and nothing to do with my digestive track. I have lost a great deal of weight, but I am still not at goal and won't get there without addressing food and fitness.
