I'm 60, fairly healthy. I work very early morning hours

I'm 52, working mom and wife. Our 4 children are young adults now living their wonderful lives, it's just my hubby and I most days. I love my job in the advertisement industry. Enjoy renovating our home, going to the movies, swimming, dancing and traveling.

I am 43 years old and have been overweight most of my life. I am a martied mom of 3 boys 2 of which are married and live in Michigan. I also have 3 grandchildren. I had an car accident on May 2nd of 2011, and received a shattered right tibia and broken fibula, as well as a dislocated left hip. The dislocation resulted in needing a hip replacement, which didnt get done for a year. Needless to say I was at lo mobility the entire time. I have managed to lose about 20 of the 30 lbs I gained, but I really have to get more off to prolong a hip revision as well as decreasing my pain. I am having a real hard time starting a regimen.

I am 56 years young I have been trying to loose 10 lbs for over a year. I have to be on a gluten free diet and because of that it has been very difficult to loose weight. I also have an in curable sweet tooth and I have NO will power when it comes to chips and crackers that I can eat.

Entering 60th year so I have to improve health now. Menopause has given me a thick middle which I never had to contend with before. Haven't eaten beef/poultry/pork in almost 40 years but want to eliminate dairy and seafood.

I am a 27yr mom of a 2yr old son. I tend to go in health spurts but inevitably fall off the band wagon. My husband and I are big foodies and enjoy trying different restaurants and exploring different foods.

I am 24, and last year I lost about 30 pounds. I was chunky as a child, but I've always been athletic and have been improving myself for the past 8 or so years. I was at my lowest weight last fall and my struggle now is to maintain that. I wasn't eating well at the time, and since I actually have an adequate caloric intake now, I have gained a few pounds back. I accept that, but now I need help controlling what I eat so that I do not over eat and gain that weight back. I am hoping this program will give a better plan to follow rather than taking each day blindly, and counting calories.

Lost over 100 lbs. with the "band" - kept off for a year. Suddenly, I am gaining rapidly. I really want to go back to where I was stabilized. Got off during Christmas and after changing my home to living with grandchildren.

I am a mother of 3. Was pretty small before them and now just do not have the motivation to lose. My husband is overweight and now diabetic. We both need to get it together. I work full time and really need to put my mind to getting the time scheduled to workout.

I'm 33 mother of 3. Struggling with weight loss.

Hi I am a 46 year old mother of a 5 year old and currently a education director for a NGO. I lost weight 3 years ago and became really fit but then broke a rib and gave up...literally gave up. I did a boot camp last year and completed it but was horrified at myselff. Now, a year later, heavier and out of shape more than ever, I went to the doctor in Feb 21012 and he prescribed 7 meds, lifelong for COPD, asma, etc. So, I chucked the meds in March 2013 and started a 30 day juice fast to kick my health back in! Goal accomplished! OH yes, and even as a Librarian and lifelong teacher, I am horrib-le typist, sorry. I get really motivated and then as soon as I start seeing results or start feeling better I tend to sabotage myself.(Point in fact, right after my blood tests and clear lungs, I stopped my juice fast..and ate EVERYTHING again!) I do well with mini goals and support AND accountability. When I was working with a trainer threee years ago and at my best physically in ten years, I used to receive daily and often hourly texts from him and it was enough to keep me going. Although guilt is my biggest motivator and I hope to get to a place where JOY replaces the guilt, Still working on the guilt and the feeling of entitlement!

I'm 32 years old and a mother of 3 kids (6, 3, and 4 months). I'm currently on maternity leave but will be going back to my job teaching high school science in September (goal is to fit back into my work clothes by then!)

I am a Registered Nurse and mother of 3. I have been married to my best friend for 20-years.

I'm in my mid-40's, female. I used to do ok with my eating and exercise but through a series of life events, gained a considerable amount of weight. I'm looking for ways to get back to a more balanced weight before I develop any health concerns.

Just turned 54 and the older I get the harder it is to take weight off and keep it off. I work behind a computer all day so my lifestyle is very sedentary.

22 years old, student. I have a love for junk food and can't really stick with diets. I have issues finding weightloss/exercise partners who can continue with me for over two weeks and I get discouraged easily when I attempt to lose weight on my own.

I'm a 21 year old student who doesn't eat the most healthy foods but I don't eat a lot of it. I've always been just a tad bit over weight and just need to loose this last bit to finally be comfortable with myself.

my name is jessie, im a 27 year old woman just trying to lose some to to to cook!!!

My name is Malaz Elamin and i'm 16 years old and i go to high school. I weigh 155 lbs. I've been over weighted my in my past when i was about 13 to 14 years old. But, suddenly i dropped a lot at 15 but gained it all back now in just 6 to 7 months. I my lack of confidence in myself and i'm insure all the time. I feel like people judge me everywhere i go because of my weight and i avoid Skyping with my old friends and family because of their reaction towards my weight. I have absolutely no motivation in my life and I've tried motivating myself many times, but i fall apart all over again and gain the weight i lost in just 3 to 4 days. I want to lose weight as much as i can just to free happy and no be depressed everyday, crying myself to sleep and waking up hating myself. I would love to feel fresh and good when i wake up and wear what i want. (:

I'm a 17 year old student and I totally can't resist sweets (chocolate especially) at all. I love working out but the success seems to be sort of blocked of by my consumation of sweets :D

I'm 20 and in college but I have been struggling with my weight since I was in elementary school. Lately I have had some stomach problems and I really would like to feel healthy.

I am happily married, have 3 children (24,20,18), almost an empty nester! We have a 1 yo granddaughter who brings us much joy. We live in the mountains near Yosemite. I love outdoor activities. I also love to cook.

I'm 21 and in college. I've been trying to lose weight since I was 10 years old. Never been overweigth, but always wanted to lose some. I've been on a calorie diet and two times on a protein diet. All of them were effective: I reached my ideal weight rather quickly. The hard thing was to keep it off, which I never succeeded in.

im 55 i moved back to Ny my home state over a year ago but miss my kids and granddaughter so am considering moving back to Florida.

I'm a 45 yr old wife; mom of 3 (youngest is 20); and full time employed in a high stress, travel demanding job. I'm reallly good at starting things, but not finishing them, mostly because they get in the way of work and/or family time. Any advice that makes my lifestyle healthier is welcome!

Will be 60 on the last day of this year! Husband is quite a bit older than I. I have four daughters (three steps .... my age) and a 32 year old. Less active in the community than I used to be. Surrounded by good friends.

I am a writer and a teacher, mother of 3 kids ages 7, 11, and 13. I have gained 40 pounds in the past six years! I am finally ready to change my eating habits for good, but I know I need support.

Eleven years ago I was a personal trainer and a figure competitor.

59 years old but aiming for 60 years young. Ready to take charge and change my unhealthy lifestyle before it is too late. Want to enjoy my grandchildren and be able to keep up with them.

I have Major Depression / Anxiety so i have gained a lot of weight from that, because i when im depressed, I EAT! Im a very stressed girl. I have so many self consious issues. I dont see what most people see when they look at me. I see tbe opposit. If you guys have any ideas, diets, advice, or anything, you can email me @, or kik me @ I just wanna be comfortable with my own body. Thats all. Please help!!

I am 20 years old and I am still in college. I got hurt playing volleyball and had to quit and have been slowly gaining weight ever since. I would like to loose all of the weight I have gained at college.

I'm 54 and a single mom. I homeschool my two teens & I'm in school myself to be a court reporter. About 3 years ago, the first year after my marriage ended, I packed on 40 lbs in just one year! I've been struggling ever since to get rid of it.

I am a divorced mom of a 20 year old daughter who lives far away in California and a 15 year old son who is with me most of the time. I have been moderately overweight my whole life. I weigh about 199 right now. I had stabilized at about 175 for several years, but then when I got divorced, I stopped exercising. I suppose I ate a little more comfort food too. In the last 8 years or so, I learned to listen to my body much better as far as hunger signals go, but I still give in to emotional eating, particularly when I'm tired. I have been a poor example for my son lately, being lazy with food preparation and "rewarding" both of us with unhealthy foods. And since moving my mother near me 18 months ago, I'm acutely aware of what my future holds if I don't take charge of my health. I also have a boyfriend who has multiple sclerosis, and I'm very interested in the possible relationship between food intolerance and autoimmune diseases. So.....for me and my guys, I'm ready to make some changes.

I have been a Chronic Dieter all my life. I am 68 years old. Now cured but still long to,that few lbs lighter. Written a book Reflections of a Chronic Dieter. Amazon kindle. Now dairy and grain free diet. Paleo Principles. Zoe Harcombe fan.

I'm originally from Jacksonville Florida. Moving here on Valentines day has been a BIG change for me but i figure if i'm going to change things, better to start with a fresh start!

I am a 61 year old man who has battled weight most of my life. I've never been thin but have been thinner than now at times. I enjoy traveling and walking and need to lose some weight to eliminate knee soreness.

Employed professionally full time. Starting a business as a Health Coach. Finishing up Immersion at IIN. Busy Mom of 2 active teenage boys.

I'm a 32 year old, happily married and soon to be dad. I'm 60-70 pounds overweight and want to work on my health so it doesn't affect my wife or "coming soon" son.

Age 65 seperated 8 months getting a divorce, love my husband but he is going through change of life. Sad, cry a lot trying to get my self esteem back.

Am 5'4" and want to be healthy and trim.

I am a very strong willed Woman with a lot of life experience for my age. Throw the World and it's problems at me and I shall overcome it by the grace of God (Maybe with some temper tantrums and tears) but hey the person who doesn't is a lyin to you! Food on the other hand is like my teddy bear to cuddle onto when I'm sad. Maybe I should invest in a Teddy??

I am 35 and have a stressful job. I have gained weight due to lack of exercise and finding comfort in food.

I am 39 i want to be healthy.

I am 39 years old and mother of 2 (11yrs + 8yrs). I am in a great relationship with my husband and keen to be a better role model for my children.

I have a husband of 26 years...that I well as two adult children, a son in law and a daughter in law. I have three energetic grandchildren. I am a Published Author of my first book of Christian Poems. My hobby is Arts & crafts. I am a local Reborn Doll Artist making lifelike babies. As well as doing Restorations (dolly hospital). I am a Christian who loves my Lord!

I am a teacher trying to get healthy.

I am down from 361.2 to 276

I'm a 27 year old female who lives in Loveland, OH. I currently work in Marketing for a flavor company and have trouble finding balance in my life. I'm working towards it, but stress and boredom/unhappiness seem to be my struggles. I've lost about 25 pounds by eating healthier alternatives, but have phases where I will eat because I'm stressed out or struggling with boredom or unhappiness. Plus I just happen to love food. :) I've also tried the JJ Virgin diet, with success, but have trouble envisioning it as an eating plan for life. My muffin top/belly is my trouble area - I can't remember the last time this was totally flat and I often get discouraged when trying to lose weight here. I love music, reading, movies/TV shows, the outdoors, fitness, animals and anything cute/funny/quirky. I also love video games and comics. I do photography as an art/hobby and love to try new things.

I'm 50 years old and tired of being overweight! Last year I lost around 40 lbs., but gained about 10 back during the Christmas holidays. I started a fitness program with a personal trainer in January and gained another 10 lbs... I have been maintaining for the past month and feel that even though I have to really push myself to workout (I don't get those promised endorphins!!) I am in a really good routine and can now focus on the food side of things. I am currently following the PT Cheat System and have joined the Point of No Return Program..... and with the help of everyone here at PEERtrainer I aim to reach my goal and stay there!!

I am a 32 year old single mother who grew up eating fast food for almost every meal. I don't want my daughter growing up like I did.

im 27 and ive just started trying to eat healthier and started to work out . i have never been eatting healthy or worked out so theres body fat i cant stand anymore

i am not real, i am fabricated ;)

I live in Sonoma, California. My health is good already but my plan is to make it even better.

I'm 31 years old- workaholic - mom to 3 Chihuahuas, Patron, Gigi and Kahlua :) - i have 2 speeds: non-stop working/going & almost dead- and I seriously need to learn to balance it all out!

My name is Yasmin, I live in NJ and have lived here all my life. I'm married to a man I absolutely adore, and we love each other more and more with each passing year. Prior to meeting my husband I was in a really stressful relationship that ended in failure... I would have to say the only positive part about the stress of that relationship was that I was able to maintain a steady weight of 135-140 lbs for 3 years straight. (Naturally as a young girl in her early 20's surrounded by constant peer pressure and the desire to fit into the ideal image, I still though I was overweight.) Shortly after that relationship had ended I had a little breakup weight gain but I was for the most part happy with myself. I still had my hopes and dreams and a job i loved... But shortly after I had gotten into a pretty bad car accident which took a toll on my weight. A Few months later i met Sebastian, and he loved me just the way I am. I was content at 155 lbs when I met my husband because he appreciates me and loves the person i am on the inside. All was great when i lost my job and it all went downhill from there. I got so depressed and disappointed in life and in myself that I stopped caring about everything. I had reach an all time low, and i don't know how to get out of it now. I believe in God. And i know all things are possible with his help but i just don't have any motivation lately. My husband says if i am happy he is happy. I need to do this for me. I need to regain control... i just need a boost... and i know i can do it!

I attend ASU for my english degree.

I'm a 5'8'' high school girl. I love reading, Doctor Who, hanging out with friends, and Menchie's (a big part of the reason why I'm here).

Wife, mother, grandmother, social worker (nearing burnout), photographer, reader, nature lover.

53 years old, part time administrative assistant. Married for 28 years with no children. I'd like to increase my energy so I can work full time and not be too tired to also do fun things with my family and friends! I work at a church owned gym, but am at least 20 lbs. overweight so would love to get out of the overweight BMI category, but I want to do it naturally with Spirit-led gentle changes so I can give the glory to God rather than some extreme diet filled with rules and regulations!

I am 45 years old. I have a busy professional career with long hours and I am at a point where I need to add more exercise and make wise eating choices. I have gained 30 lbs in the last two years. My goal is to loose 50 lbs.

I used peer trainer about 3 to 4 years ago; found a great group and dropped from 205 to 185. My ideal weight is probably closer to 180. I eat well, but could always so better. I have been an on again off again athlete my whole life and 6 months ago I joined a cross fit gym and have been doing crazy stuff since then. Married, 57, son 18 freshman; daughter 21 senior and looking for a job! Great kids but would not mind seeing them off the payroll sometime soon.

Mom of two boys, work from home most of the week (makes going to the pantry too easy) :-( Just started fostering puppies and volunteering again. I am hoping to get busy again so that food becomes an after thought.

I just turned 40 this January-- not sure how I feel about that, but I'm happy I'm still here. ;) I stay busy with my 15 year old daughter who plays softball most of the year. I work part-time as a professional photographer for an Air Force Base newspaper here in my town.

I turned 50 this years and the pounds have gradually crept on. I do not like my body image. I feel out of control when it come to eating. I do not feel as healthy as I would like or as I did when younger.

My world is all about starvation

I am 20 years old, I am trying to get back into the shape I was when I was 15. Since I stopped growing when I was 15 at 5' 5 1/2", I think be nice to go back to the weight I was! I basically stopped growing height wise, but not width wise. lol! I am 150-ish pounds right now (don't look it), and I am trying to go back to 135. =)

i am an artist, musician and student.

sci-fi geek, social media nerd, web designer, and fitness fanatic.

I am 24 years old and a mother of 2. I have been over weight since I was 14 and I am currently close to the 300 mark.

Two years ago I was in the best shape I have ever been. I was fit and I was happy and confident in my skin for the first time ever. I walked daily, did spin classes a couple a days a week and did body pump 2 to 3 days a week and then I went back to work and all of that came to an end. I also have back problems that seemed to get worse after stopping exercise and as they got worse my doctor suggested epidural injections to help cope with the pain. At this point I was exercising again, running and going to the gym but the weight just kept coming. I would get so frustrated I would quit even though I enjoyed working out. This has been the pattern for the last year. I get so frustrated I can't stand it. I also have hypothyroidism which my doctor says is under control. I had issues with my vitamin D levels being low and then it was my iron that was low. I am tired all of the time and have very little energy after going to the gym in the morning. It is crazy. The final straw for me was doing a fitness challenge recentlyand not losing a single pound or inch in 10 weeks. At this point I know there is something wrong so I am excited to start this cleanse to see if it makes a difference.

I am 63. Married, mother of 4 adult children, grandmother to 3 with a baby girl coming soon. Own 3 Aussies and one cat. We found the Aussies, the cat found us.

Currently a Senior in college finishing up my last semester and 1/2, while working full time as a 1st Asst. Manager at a McDonald's. I'm quite the stress/emotional eater...which is my biggest downfall. I worked thru WW for about a year, and managed to keep most of it off, but recently gained nearly 15 of those pounds back, and now I'm back in the game to get them off yet again..this time for good. Because NEVER WILL I EVER get back to the 170lbs I used to be.

Retired educator - back working 4 days a week as a high school administrator.

I'm a working mum of three kids, I'm a shift worker so it's very hard to stick to a routine

I'm a 53-year old speech language pathologist. I currently weigh 187.4 lbs. and am 5 ft, 2 in. tall (short). I am thrilled to find this group and to be held accountable to follow a healthy lifestyle where I can report my progress and struggles. I look forward to working with you.

33 year old police officer and doctoral student

Currently, I have been doing a 80/20, well more like 60/40 Paleo diet. This is my diet of choice, so I don't want people telling me that it is not right. I am overwight, have lost approximately 25lbs in 11 weeks- not great I know, but overall I have probably shifted around 4 stone. I have been up and down, trying different diets including weight watchers and slimming world. Came off but it isn't a sustainable lifestyle. Plus I worry about all the chemicals that are in abundance in these types of diets. I prefer fresh, non-chemically enhanced food on a daily basis, but extremely partial to cheating- if I am honest.I do boxing training twice a week and am currently training for a 5k run for charity.

Master certified personal trainer and nutrition consultant

I am a 40 year old mother of two boys (10 and 12). I am looking to be committed to not going over a certain number of calories every day and doing some type of exercise every day. As long as my clothes continue to fit... I get very lazy and don't follow through.

I am the product of a "clean your plate" upbringing and have struggled with weight my entire life. I have tried numerous diets over the years, basically all of them I think, before I realized I needed to really alter my lifestyle. I have lost 50 pounds since June 2012 but have hit a plateau and would like to not only lose 40 more pounds, but optimize my health in the process.

I am a 35 year old special education teacher who grew up on a farm and lo and behold ended up marrying a farmer. Farm cooking is not exactly the healthiest and I love to cook and bake. I do love very healthy food as well but recently have not been making the best choices as the scale has shown. I have been diagnosed with slightly elevated cholesterol and have been placed on blood pressure medications-which I HATE that I have to take. I just want to lose the weight, feel great, and not constantly obsess over food!
