I'm a 22 yr old college student. I actually really like working out, but I'm also pretty good at finding other things to do and then noticing the time has just slipped away. I like biking, swimming, running, and especially team sports.

Dedicated triathlete - 4 years and running...Love the bike, like the swim and run. Favorite distance is Olympic, but I do a 1/2 ironman every year for the challenge. Was never athletic before college, but once I found the bike and then triathlon, I was hooked.

25 Year old software developer from Grand Junction CO

I'm 38, failrly active now, and like to ride/run/swim/hike. I sustained an injury last summer that knocked me for a loop, and have now been able to become active again and have lost almost 20 lbs since March.

I am 33 yrs old. I have two adorable boys (4 and 3) - just one year apart which is why I gained so much weight. After both pregancies my metabolism died completely. I have struggled with loosing weight for the last two years. I am very frustrated. I have never worked out so hard in my entire life and still am not able to loose a pound. I run, swim, bike, and do pilates during the week. I work out 6 days a week and still no weight loss.

I am 23 and a Graduate Student studying Public Administration. I want more definition, bigger arms and chest.

I am 24 years old and live in the Pacific Northwest teaching art to high school students. I am currently writing my thesis and (seperate goal) and plan to have my masters by spring. I am in a long term relationship with an awesome man. Luckily, he is really active and helps me stay in shape.

I'm a 45 yr old male, just finishing grad school and working with the homelss population of Richmond. I have a partner and three kids. I'm tired of being embarrassed at the beach, I'm tired of flab overhaning everything I wear. I want to take my shirt off, or look good in a speedo. I want heads to turn when I walk by. I want my chest to stop sagging so I can wear the silky triathlon wear that is very form fitting. I want washboard abs, and I want to look good naked or in anything I want to wear. I also want my waist back down to a size 32. I want to look lean and toned.

I am 34 years old, married, with 2 kids, ages 2 and 5. I have struggled with my weight my whole life. I am 70 pounds heavier than I'd like to be. I really enjoy running and started racing in 2004. I have done 5Ks, 10ks, 8k trail race, 10 mile races, four half marathons, and a full marathon. I have a lot of self motivation when it comes to exercise but not when it comes to food. I really have to put in a lot of effort to watch how much I eat, but when I do I really see results....if only I could just keep it up.

36 years old. I work for the Ohio Department of Corrections. I've been married for 14 years and have 2 great kids. A little over 3 years ago I became a Christian and I feel that God inspired me to lose weight. I weighed 390+ lbs. at the time and I have since lost over 100 pounds. My overall goals are to get my weight down to 225 healthy pounds and to become more active in cycling hobby. I began following the weight watchers plan with my wife in July of 2006 and it seems to be working for me.

I have a horrific diet. i eat what i want most times. None of its healthy with the exception of vegetables that i will eat with my meat. not big on bread pasta or rice. love fried foods, hambergers, steaks - spicy highly seasoned foods, and decadent desserts regularly (everyday). i weight 176lb could be slighly less or more - i stopped looking a year ago. i exercise hard and regularly but eat just as hard and regularly.I have still lossed weight from the 190 i was. i couldve lossed a lot more obviously if i ate healthy. i teach cycling 3 days week 45 min each with Sun being a double class day. i run 4 to 5x's a week for a total of 10 to 15 miles depending on my energy level. Most of the mileage is done on the weekend. work a very stressful thankless peon job for a well know finl institution. leaves me exhausted most times - but i push hard to exercise to keep me in the running from being insane in the brain.

I am a 33 year old mother of two (2 1/2 and 6 months). I work full time as a teacher (special education). My husband goes to school and stays at home with the kids.

22~ ready to get rid of all the extra junk I packed in my trunk, stomach, arms and legs during college and through my "secretary butt" job. I lost 35 lbs last year but have put 20 back on due to crap eating.

I'm an ex-collegiate athlete that competeted at the national level. I'm accustomed to pushing myself further than most people. When I was swimming competitively I would eat between 4000 and 8000 calories a day. That habit was in place for years, and now I find it difficult to not eat as much since my brain was once wired to look at food and think about eating tons of it to replace what I have or would be buring off that day. I'm 6', athletic build, weigh 226 pounds. As I said above I'm at 21% bodyfat right now. Up until October I was at 210 pounds, so I have gained a significant amount of weight in the past 4 months. Currently I am competing in mountain bike races, road bike races and triathlons.

Hello! Im 21 year old seniro at Eastern Michigan University. I used to be in great shape, even in my beginning of college. However, as soon as 2004 hit, it went downhill. I made up excuses, life was rough for awhile, but im paying for it now. Im 5'3" 170lbs with a BMI of 30.1. So im not obesse, but overweight. Im very unhappy with myself, I have lost of most of my self confidence. I know looks arent anything, but I miss being the person all the guys drooled over. More importantly, I miss my ankles not hurting by the extra weight, I miss not being exhausted just walking up the stairs. Both of my parents used to be heavier, but my mom has lost 160 lbs at curves and my dad just had gastropic bypass surgery. I dont ever want to get to the point, where I cant move. Im not evne close, but it alreayd freaks me out, that this body is not mine, and people dont recognize me. In highschool, I was very active, dual sported every season with Cross Country being my favorite. I hope to get into that body agian. oh yeah, off subject, but I have a huge rubber duck collection.

I'm a 20 year old sophomore at Northwestern University. Home's in Seattle, Washington, and I miss the mountains dearly. I'm majoring in music performance and legal studies, but my true love in life is actually working out. I'd like to participate in marathons and triatholons in the near future and spend a couple winters at Vail as a ski instructor before applying for law school.

I'm 23 and a year out of college. I used to be an amazing athlete playing three seasons in high school and a rowing year round in college. Unfortunately, my rowing career came to an end after knee surgery and I started focusing on my academics to finish up my college career. Now, a year out of college, and three years from knee surgery, I have gained twenty pounds I don't want. I was recently diagnosed with a thyroid disorder which explains my tiredness and lack of motivation. I'm psyched to get back into shape now that I'm starting to have energy and motivation again.

I'm a 26 year old, graduate student studying psychological research. I've been training for a 300 mile bike trip I'm going on this summer. I gained some weight when I started college and haven't been able to lose it. I'd really like to have a flat stomach and wear a bikini sometime soon!!

Five years ago I was 200 pounds and very unhappy. I set a New Year's resolution to lose weight and found that running and/or walking helped a lot. I lost 60 pounds and decided to branch out into triathlon. Since then, I have done 2 marathons and several 1/2 Ironman triathlons. I have gained back 10 pounds in the last year or so - and I want to get that off and a little more.

I'm vegan! Yeah me! I have been for 9 years! :) Oh... I'm 28 years old. I'm also a teacher and I have three children. Plus, I'm married! Wow! I'm busy!

I'm 5 8 and a half, 18 years old and 150 pounds (looking to lose 10).

I used to be super fit (rowing and then triathlon). Then I got injured and it all fell by the wayside. My goal at the moment is to get myself fitter and to lose the 40lb I've put on since I stopped.

35 y/o male. Was very athletic growing up and into college. Totally out of shape now and really would like to compete in an olympic distance tri. Have done a sprint in the past and really enjoyed it, but would like to try others.

I am married, have two adult sons and 5 grand children. I competed in 3 thriathlons in 2007 and one duathon (swim, bike). I like to work hard and play hard.

I am married, with 2 awesome kids, a boy and an girl who keep me on my toes.

37 year old male, married to a gorgeous triathlete and have 2 great kids. I have historically been quite unhealthy. I have already had knee surgery and lower back surgery and almost needed neck surgery. It was time for me to change my lifestyle. At my peak i was 275 lbs in January '08, I am currently 241 (May 8,'08).

Hmm. I really enjoy running but have been spending a lot of time on the bike and in the water lately since I've been focusing more on triathlons than running races. I just completed my first half-iron distance June 15, so I think I've been riding the 'recovery' excuse to go easy a little too much. Also, 4 years ago I weighed almost 40 pounds more than I do now. Training for 5k's and short triathlons, as well as several months of Weight Watchers helped with that.

Father and Husband. Love Science, hate my physique.
