I am 20 years old and a student at Arizona State University. I am a Journalism/Mass Communication major and would love to work for a health and fitness magazine someday! I love everything about living an active and healthy lifestyle and am willing to try anything that comes my way! I recently bought a mountain bike, anyone know any good trails around Phoenix?
I am a 37 year old filmmaker, a mom and we all live outside San Francisco. I think cheese should be its own food group and social situations sabotage all my repeated efforts to lose my last 10 or so pounds. I really don't want to still be doing this 5 years from now, so I would like to get focused and take off the weight!
I LOVE rock climbing, and am obsessed with it, and have been climbing for nine years. I am self-employed so can work at night and play during the day. I climb indoors throughout the winter 3-4 times a week, for several hours each time. (Bouldering and sport climbing.) Spring-fall I climb outdoors as many as 5 or more times a week, for many hours. These days involve approach hikes that can be substantial with a heavy pack. To stay generally fit, Ialso run during the winter (5-6 times a week, 30-45 minutes each) as much as my knees allow, and road bike in the summer about 15-20 hours a week. I also just bought a mountain bike. All of this, and I still pack about 10 extra pounds of fat. This means a lot for a climber. I slim down a bit during the summer, but not as much as I would like to. I also "unslim" a lot in the winter. I am also a neurotic log-keeper. (Perhaps because my work involves detailed book keeping...) If this works well, I should be online very regularly.
