I have a lot of weight to lose since being diagnosed with fibromyalgia several years ago. I was a very physically fit thirty-something with a 7-day-a-week gym habit. I've more energy and less pain now, but my weight has crept up from all that enforced inactivity, and I'm not nearly ready for the gym. Instead I'm trying to eat wisely (most) of the time, get in 10,000 steps a day using my trusty pedometer, and in general see how much I can do despite my limitations. If you've been there but you refuse to be benched, despite the major setbacks of fibromyalgia and/or chronic fatigue syndrome, you know exactly how I feel.
