Have breakfast in bed with our french toast madewith delicate challah bread, top with fresh or thawed frozen berriesand plenty of maple syrup.
Serves 2
- 1 cup milk
- 2 eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 4–6 thick slices of Challah bread
- 1–2 tablespoons butter
- strawberries, raspberries or blueberries
- maple syrup, warmed
Whisk together milk, eggs and vanilla extract in ashallow bowl. Dip in slices on challah, turning and waiting a fewseconds to let the bread absorb the egg/milk mixture. Heat butter in asaute pan over medium heat and brown slices on each side until golden.Serve immediately with warmed maple syrup and berries.
