PLEASE HELP - need low carb info
Okay - this might sound strange but I really need to quickly drop weight (for an audition) by next friday (8/5) and one of my group members suggested cutting out carbs for the next week and a half to drop the weight. I am not a big fan of cutting carbs - I don't think it works in the long run so I never paid any attention to the info out there when the Atkins craze was going strong.
Now for my question - how do I figure out how many carbs something has and how many carbs are too many? I have no idea how to figure out what is a carb and what isn't unless we are talking about a piece of bread or some pasta. For example, I've been told that carrots are not low carb 'casue of the sugar...but I have no idea why that is so...
Someone, please help!
P.S. I am aware that I am going to gain all the weight back as soon as I start eating carbs again and I am okay with that...I'll just go back to eating sensibly and take the weight off again slowly.
