how much time to you spend on exercise?
There seems to be a lot of talk about food and diet in this forum, which is great... but I've always felt that exercise made all the difference sinse my diet has always been pretty balenced.
I'm trying to get an idea of what other people do to tone up and/or lose weight and how much time they invest in their workout.
I usually workout 3 or 4 times a week for 45 min or one hour and one or two times a week for two or more hours. My most frequent form of exercise is biking and walking. Sometimes my bike rides consist of one or two hours of commuting around the Bay Area to get from one place to another or the occasional long sweaty ride that takes all day. When my workout consists of walking and jogging, I walk for 45 min or one hour early in the morning or late in the evening. I try to wonder up steep hills and take outdoor stares to give my legs a good lunge. I used to go to a gym every morning for two hours and was in great shape from all the upper body weights and squats (in addtion to walking and biking) but I reached my limit and discontinued my membership when the wheather was beautiful and the gym was feeling like a staring contest.
So, here are my questions:
1. What kinds of exercise do you acutally do on a regular basis?
2. Do you take classes?
3. What's your exercise routine? How often?
4. Do you workout inside or outdoors or both?
5. Do you workout alone?
6. What time of day and how long?
7. Are you training or shooting for any performance related goals?
Feel free to answer any or all of the questions and please sight the question number so readers can understand your response. Thank you and have a great workout!
