Breaking through a "Forever" plateau...Need New tips & tricks

Last year I went on a diet and lost about 45 pounds over the course of the year. I plateaued in late October and have gone up and down the same 5 lbs since then. I really need to get off this if I am to reach my goal of losing 20 more pounds by May. It just seems that subconsciously I have decided to quit doing what I know I need to do, and then I'm wondering why I am staying at the same weight. What I need from you guys is stories of how you overcame your plateaus. Short of slapping myself silly, I just can't seem to get back into the mode. Please help!! One thing I am going to do is put one of the outfits that I am dying to wear on a hanger and leave it where I can see it. Any ideas - crazy and all are appreciated.
