Thinking Zen and Chilling Out

Hey All,
Well I have a few new years resolutions. Of coarse top of the list is sorting out my weight, closely followed by sorting out my attitude.
I have found that I am too emotional and not as connected with the world around me as I would like to be. I am too caught up in the future and pat that I forget about what's happening right now. I am so scared about attaining certain things and reaching certain goals that I am completely dis-satisfied with who I am at this moment and I think that needs to be fixed before I can ever start thinking of losing weight.
I suppose it comes down to learning to love myself and others and life in general without conditions. Anyone else on this sort of journey??
