Advice on speeding up or improving weight loss

I have been on peertrainer since nov 3 2008. It has been great. The last month I have only seemed to have lost around 5.2 pounds. I am feeling a little frustrated. I try to keep my calories under 1400 calories 5 days a week and around 1600 and 2000 calories two days a week. I am exercising 4 to five days a week on my elliptical for 35 minutes. Any suggestions on how to move this weight loss down a little bit faster. I would like to see around 7 pounds a month.
