Rant: Things I hate about being skinny!

Don't read on if you need motivation! I want to complain about all the things I dislike about being thin now, and this is the only place I can think of where someone else out there might understand that there are down sides to all the good things about achieving your goals.

So, where to begin,

1) I hate being constantly cold. The other day everyone kept asking why I was wearing gloves at work...because my fingers are frozen to the point of being numb and I can't stand it anymore! Unfortunately, I also can't type very will with gloves on, or do other work related things...It's so frustrating! I never had this problem when I was overweight!

2) If someone comments one more time on how good I look, or jokes about me being "miss skinny" and how I "won't eat any unhealthy food" I think I'll scream! One compliment is great, thank you. But really, how long must this go on? It kinda makes me wonder how awful I must have looked before I lost weight. Plus, I think all these comments are slowly turning me into the kind of beauty obsessed mirror whore I always swore I would never be! I don't want to obsess over how I look. Stop making it so hard! There are other great things I've done that I would love you to compliment me on, so why is it that all anyone notices is my shrinking waist line?!!

3) Getting a new wardrobe is great...if you love shopping and have cash to burn. For the rest of us... may god have mercy! Because personally, I just LOVE diving though sales bins full of discount clothing articles of all shapes, sizes, and conditions of cleanliness for something that just, might, possibly be worth buying.

4) So now that I've made a tonne of good, healthy changes to my lifestyle, and stuck with them, and even gotten comfortable with them...I have to change them all again. All those "nice" compliments of "You look so good!" have started to be quickly followed by "but don't go too far now", and my scale says I've reached my goal and even gone beyond it. Maybe it's all those compliments that have gone to my now over-big head, or maybe I just got too comfortable with all the - what I thought at the time were - permanent life changes, but for whatever reason, I just CAN'T SEEM TO STOP!

5) I used to tease my sister about having a chest that would make any pancake jealous of how flat it was. Look who's laughing now. I can't even fill a stinking A cup anymore!

6) Despite the fact that I've lost weight, all my other bodily flaws are still there. My shoulder's are still too broad, my chest is now even flatter - which still makes my stomach look like it has a pouch, emphasizes it even - I still don't seem to have developed any real hip curves or anything, still got all those stinking stretch marks... so really losing all that weight has just been that, losing weight. Which means that all those cool clothes I always wanted to buy but they looked pretty stupid on fat me, I still can't buy because they still look awkward and mis-shapen on skinny me. Go figure.

In conclusion, I know losing all this weight has been a good thing. The most important thing is that I'm healthier, and I'm very, very glad for that, and wouldn't change it for the world. I like my new body too, and I have a lot more confidence in my image than I used to. I guess I just want to know that I'm not crazy, that I'm not the only one who sees some down sides to losing weight, because all everyone else seems to talk about is how wonderful, how dreamlike, how desirable, etc, etc, etc it is.
