Date: 13th century

2: something provided or experienced repeatedly

this is the Webster Dictionary definition of the word diet..

I HATE the word diet because I tend to feel like the first word in the word diet.. like I am going to die.. the word conjures up feelings of depriving oneself of one of lifes greatest pleasures. FOOD.

so I was curious what the dictionary would explain the word diet to mean so I was talking to my aunt and she said whats your diet like.. I said I am NOT on a diet .. this is a lifestyle change.. its something I plan on doing forever.

she is a nurse and she explained to me.. I may not BE on a diet but I HAVE a diet.. she said people misinterpret the word diet t think of it as being on a diet.. she said a diet is what you eat.. she says everyone has a diet..

so I will think of the word diet differently.. I choose what foods I eat .. I choose what my diet is.. not that I will ever go on a diet, because that though makes me feel deprived, but I have a diet . I tend to make my diet full of healthy foods.. plenty of fruits, fresh veg, lean meats, good carbs, beans and such..

we choose how we live by what we eat today.. our choices of our diet affect our future.. I plan on living a fuller longer life by taking care of my body and giving it the proper habitual nurishment.. with variety of course.. so I chose to live by defintion a and b of the word diet

well I though for those of us that argue we are not on a diet.. it was a interesting thing to remeber we may not be on a diet, but we have a diet and we choose what is on that diet..

so are you going to eat healthy for your body..

I know lately I have been eating some processed foods in my diet and I find that when I do I feel sluggish but when I have a salad or a smoothie.. I feel so much better..

lts feel better together
