Am I too obsessed with my health?

Just wondering what others out there think....

So my boyfriend thinks that I am a little too concerned about my health. I am 23 and my BMI is 24. Technically I am in the 'healthy' weight range, but I would like to be more in the middle. I ALWAYs watch what I eat and try to eat no more than 1500 calories. I eat really healthy, lots of fruits and veggies and good sources of protein. I also try to limit the animal products that I consume as well (I'm not a vegitarian, but I would like to be). I go to the gym about 3 times a week, although I really wish I could make it there 5 times a week.

I don't have a very good family health history and I am afraid that if I don't stay healthy I will get diabetes or heart disease. I don't want to have to live my life around medications like those in my family, so that is a huge motivator for me staying health.

The reason my boyfriend thinks I am to concerned is because I don't like eating out because I know I can't make good choices and he feels that I need to 'live a little while I am young'. I also sometimes feel bad when I do make bad food choices or when I can't get to the gym. I think that while I am young it is the easiest time to form good habits and get in great shape, so why wait.

I am too obsessed with my health, or is this normal? Advice for dealing with this with my boyfriend? It is really hurting our relationship.
